Reasonable Lebanese restaurant, but certainly not the best I have been to.

First time eating a full Lebanese meal and found the food here great. The cucumber dip was the best I tasted along with the Baba Ganoush! The only thing I could critique would be the Shish Kebabs as they were a bit tasteless.
The value for money is fantastic, we got the $40 per head banquet and by the time we left, we had tasted many dishes and were very full. Look forward to coming back.

Was here for dinner with some friends. The quality of the food was sub-par. The falafel was so dry that we shared one piece to taste and refused to eat the rest. The 5 other dishes that followed were unmemorable at best. The good thing about this place is that it's BYO....

Went to this after cirque du soliel for a nice after meal for two. This was a big mistake and cost us our nice evening. Staff were unattentive and had no knowledge of the food being served. We were placed at a table for two upstairs with the table next to us only half a foot away.
The food was bland and not worth what is paid at all. The side dish plates are larger than the plates the mains come on. If you are thinking of Lebanese food, there are much better in Sydney. Steer clear of here if you're ever in Glebe.

Our experience here was ok, certainly nothing to write home about. The falafels tasted as if they had been reheated which was disappointing. The baba ganoush was proper baba ganoush - a nice smokey flavour. My lamb shawarma was bad. The meat was dry and tasteless and the side of potatoes was inedible due to the amount of garlic and lemon. If this is one of the best Lebanese restaurants in Sydney I hate to think what else is out there!

By far the best Lebanese restaurant that we have been to. The staff are helpful and friendly. The prices are quite reasonable and honest, byo no corkage very clever! One word of advice, stay away from the upstairs as it can get very desolate.

One word for you, Brilliant. Absolutely amazing! I don't know about everyone else but the food was exquisite - I recommend the Lamb Mansaf and the Fattoush to everyone and generally recommend the restaurant to everyone! Highly recommended!
The ambience is not too loud, well, of course when the Bellydancer comes out it is just impossible to not get involved. There is a real sense of closeness - and it's really laid back with the pillows and the comfortable seating. The staff are willing and nice and I love their method of bringing out food. The food comes in constant stages so you don't have to wait for it. And you don't want to have to wait too long because the food is beautiful.
Service is impecable and the value is, in my opinion, really good. The standard of the food is just beyond description, really. If you are considering going to this restaurant you must go! This Lebanese cuisine is fantastic and will leave you hooked. But book!

Ate here recently after it was recommended by a Lebanese friend as one of the better Lebanese restaurants in Sydney. The ambience leaves a bit to be desired, just a touch too dark for my liking. I would have liked to have been able to better see my food. It also happened to be freezing on the night and there was a draught. This was fixed by asking for the patio heater to be brought closer to the table.
The staff were ok. A gentleman who had just started that day was helpful and attentive, the lady that initially served us was quite unhelpful. This was a real pity as her assistance with recommendations at the time of placing the orders would have been most appreciated.
Given we were a group of 5, we were able to order quite a few dishes and try them all. I can highly recommended the dips, labne and tabouli. The bread they place on the table to have with the dips is unlimited and we made full use of this. You have to ask for the staff to top up the bread basket though, as the staff weren't too attentive (and it wasn't that busy that night). The Kafta was average, but the Felafels were great.
Both the Chicken and Lamb Shawarma's were average. We had ordered the Shish-barak and no-one at the table enjoyed this. I cannot say this was bad, probably just not a dish to any of our tastes. The prices here are a bit on the high side, but not unreasonable.
I would go to Al Mustafa's again, but only on a special occasion due to price and convenience (distance) reasons.
