Went for an early tapas meal tonight but got turned away so crossed the road to Almustafa where we were lucky to get a table downstairs right next to the entry as long as we were done by 8 pm as it was booked.

The service was efficient, friendly and super fast and the food was just delicious. The lamb shawarma was divine and the lebanese salad sooo tasty. All up, for what we ate, and the quality of the food, it was also decent value. I would definitely go back again. I'll just have to remember to book next time.

Easy to get a park too...

My partner and I love this joint. The owner/operator adds personality plus and the food is ever flawless. The staff are really friendly and first timers... go the big banquet, it's so worth it.

I feel this is the best Lebanese restaurant by far in Sydney. The food is unbeatable in flavour. The service is always friendly even when they're flat out. And the prices are honest with no byo corkage fee.

When we arrived early on Friday evening Almustafa was almost empty so we were slightly annoyed when we were taken upstairs, past rows and rows of empty tables, to a table right at the back of the restaurant (shabby, grubby looking cushions with 70s concreted walls and one of the nastiest oil paintings ever). Within an hour we could see why though, this place is very very popular.

As a result the staff were eventaully running around like the proverbial, and our drinks and bill were pretty delayed. And we were brought the wrong bill as well. Having said that, the food is rustic but good, the lamb cabbage rolls were surprisingly delicately flavoured, the butter bean and lamb flavourful and filling.

They were also very proud of their homemade pickles, possibly the largest serving of pickles I've ever been offered and one staff member did keep popping by to see if we were OK. I can see why it's popular with office parties as well, though we didn't stay for the belly dancing.

Love this place. The food is always good everytime you go, they have friendly staff and a its a great place if you want to make a group booking. The really best thing though is the value - bypass the set menu, order heaps of starters and mains to share and byo wine and you won't get a better meal for the same $.

Great place, great atmosphere, great service. We were put in the best seat even though we hadn't booked, manager was excellent, food was traditional lebanese, great flavours. Great fun.

We have been a couple of times mid week and the staff are helpful and friendly. The food is very good and the portions are generous. Upstairs can be a bit desolate unless it is a weekend, there was one waitress rushed off her feet but the food came and we tipped as usual. Try and get a table downstairs if you can. The belly dancers at the weekend are fun, try not to make eye contact if you don't want to get dragged up like I did.

Yum yum - this is my favourite Lebanese restaurant - I love the dishes we ordered and we even did our own tea leaf reading afterwards - which may have read - you'll be back !!!

Four of us went for the first time for a friend's birthday. We were in the cushion room when the music was turned up ear-bleedingly loud to some sort of tacky rap for three whole songs for a stripper who was performing for another party at the restaurant.

To top it off, the banquet we ordered was rushed out so fast there was no room on the table and no time to enjoy- it was quite clear they wanted the table again that night. Really really disappointing for all of us- especially the birthday girl. Never again.

We had a very enjoyable evening, food was good, portions reasonable but not huge, I bit more meat would have been nice. We will back as this is the best Lebanese we have been to in Sydney.
