Went on a Saturday night when it was half full, ordered an Al Mustafa banquet, which clearly said on the menu was all you can eat. However when we ordered additional skewers (they only brought out 4 for the 2 of us), it never came. We reminded them several times throughout the evening and they kept saying it was coming, but never came.
After almost 2 hours of waiting we decided we had enough, settled the bill and left. Plain misleading advertising to say something is "all you can eat" but is actually "only whatever they can be bothered to give you".

Tried this place out on reasonably quiet Thurs night. Sumptuous decor and ambience, well suited for a romantic meal rather than a roudy night out with mates. Service was a little up and down, our waiter started to take our plates away without asking if we had finished first. Always a no-no. We ordered a couple of vegetarian dishes (fouhl and cauliflower with dipping sauce) which were very good and reasonably priced considering the location.

The restaurant had a lively atmosphere, with the draped ceilings, colourful lamps and decorations. We ordered the hommus with minced lamb and pinenuts (delicious), fatoush salad (similar to tabouli, very refreshing), sambusic lamb (deep fried pastries of meat with onion and pinenuts, very tasty) and the chicken mansaf (tender chicken on a bed of soft rice with pinenuts, herb lamb, served with rich mint yoghurt). This also came with a basket of lebanese bread, half chewy and soft and half fried.
At around $70 for two, it left us fully satisfied for hours afterwards with their simply cooked but complex and tasty, healthy food. Would definitely recommend!

For our Xmas party I decided to book Almustafa after a lovely dining experiene back in September. My colleagues and i were extremely satisfied with the whole experience.
The food was delicious, fresh and plentiful. Great for both vegetarians and meat eaters. The setting was relaxed and fun, with everyone enjoying a bit of belly dancing. The service couldn't be faulted in anyway. The staff were friendly and efficient and the waiters quickly brought more of any requested dishes (except the meat as this wasn't part of the deal).
As for the value I think $52 per person is great value for a massive (pretty much all you can eat) mouth watering banquet with byo, in a great venue with entertainment, fantastic service almost right in the city. I wouldn't hesitate to book another function there and recommend it others.

Front door step blocked power chair that needed manhandling. The special toilet was blocked with storage and couldn't fit a wheelchair! Had to go and find a toilet at Broadway. Meanwhile entree was served so was cold on return. Only had one entree and main between two, overpriced for Lebanese. One waiter was good though and assisted reentry

I have been a big fan of this place but I started to doubt that it is worth visiting now after I got disappointed twice. They used to have a very reasonable banquet menu starting from $29 a few years back. Now it starts from $40. Nothing much changed in the lineup since then but price hike was unbelievable. Was it because they moved from Cleveland St. to Glebe?
I love the salad with crispy lebanese bread in it. It came soggy last time I visited. Grilled meat was warmish, rather than hot and was dry. All tasted as if they were left for a long time after being prepared. I will probably look for another place when I feel like Lebanese.

I just LOove this place. Never had lebanese food until I came to Oz a yr and a half ago, walked in here and never looked back! Every dish is different and has its own unique taste. The staff are super friendly and efficient. The only thing I can think of is that maybe the leb bread and some hommous should be complementary. But will continue to come here and defo recommend!

After years of hearing about this place, I finally went. Sadly, the food is no better than the places in Cleveland St, just more expensive. Lakemba and Bankstown are just as close to home for me as Glebe is, so I know which direction I'll be heading for Lebanese food in future.

I've been here a few times and would go more often if closer to home. All of the food I've tried has been excellent, good portion sizes and good value. The ambience is good, both inside where it feels cozy and authentic, and outside in the back, particularly on a nice spring day. The service is good as well, both in person and on the phone. My favorite Lebanese place in Sydney.
