A bit late reporting but we did the Mother's Day dinner back in May and my mother and I thoroughly enjoyed the food and very attentive service, as well the little gift for Mum was a nice touch. Excellent value too. Belly dancer interesting but it's the one thing I hate about these places as I cringe hoping she won't drag me up to embarrass myself.
My first experience at a Lebanese restaurant. The bellydancer had cancelled but the atmosphere was still great without it. We had the buffet for $40pp which seems a bit expensive but I was full by the end. Didn't like the deep fried bread. Great flavours and variety. A BYO restaurant so we took our wine and weren't hassled about drinks. Dessert a bit expensive at $9 each but they were fairly large servings. Will go back again.
10 dollars for a TINY JUG of coke. Sorry but I felt ripped off paying around 40-50 dollars and walking out of there hungry. The portions are small. The belly dancer was good though that's about the only thing I enjoyed.
I went there for lunch with a work colleague on 25/11/07 because she recommended it. There was no one else there which was a bad sign for things to come!
The food was horrible, the hommos was not fresh, the samke harra (fish in tahini sauce) was under cooked and we had to ask them to re-cook it. Nice clean ethnic ambience and attentive waitress (keen on selling drinks!) but extremely low value (expect $25 pp). No lunch special, the portions were very small; I was still hungry by the end!
You get much better food at half price if you go south west like Bankstown/Lakemba area. By far the lousiest Lebanese restaurant I have ever been to.
The staff are very friendly, the food is fantastic but not real value for money compared to other lebanese restaurants where you get alot more for your money.
Excellent attentive service, nice ambience. We had the banquet with seafood, the seafood portion of the banquet was not at all Lebabese (prawn cutlets, calamari rings, and chips), but was still tasty. The bellydancer was marvellous, one of the best performances I've seen. Would highly recommend it.
The food was VERY Bland and you needed a drink to wash it all down. The food descriptions on the menu didn't match the meals served. I ordered a salad as a side and the description of the salad didn't contain Capsicum, however, there was capsicum throughout the salad. Most meals were described as minced lamb with mint and spices etc, there were no spices or flavour to be found.
The service was quite good apart from us having to ask them to remove our used plates. The bellydancing entertainment was very good but it didn't make up for the flavourless food. VERY PRICEY!
Food was good, as good as any long established Lebanese in Surry Hills - a little pricey but I guess it saves you the drive to town. Belly Dancer was a little confronting getting people up to dance is always a tad tacky! Service was good however, eftpos not working, not their fault though but frustrating after a good meal. Would definitely go back.
