A strange one. Really friendly and helpful staff but service was a little slow and disjointed (might have been training a new staff member the time we went there though). Strange and slightly sterile atmospheres in the room - a little too much like a hospital cafeteria or something similar. Difficult to pinpoint the ambience. Just something amiss. Food is top notch though and pretty good value at that. Any misgivings about the atmosphere are certainly over ridden by the food and friendly staff.
Update: I had a return visit that pretty much nullified all of the above. Service was slow, waiters inattentive and didn't seem to care that after we'd finished our appetizers and with the flat bread ordered with the meal on the table less than five minutes later, that we sat there for a further 20 minutes before our mains arrived. Pretty bland food this time out and no salt and pepper to be seen anywhere in the restaurant. Really disappointing.
My boyfriend and I went here one night before a concert. The lamb curry was nothing out of the ordinary but the chicken was excellent, very tasty! Staffs were very friendly and welcoming. The atmosphere was nothing special (which is what is to be expected with the name being "African Express Eatery") but the place looked very clean. Will definitely come back when I'm in the area for the chicken and rice.

You don't come here for ambience but it is definitely a great place to get a feed. Awsome chicken, and the service is great - very friendly. Must try their Bissap (African flower drink) - it's so refreshing and goes really well with the spices they use in the foods. Definitely will return.
If you're looking for the best chicken in the world, go to the African Eatery in Enmore. The family who run the joint are extremely welcoming and take praise humbly. A rare gem!
Good food, clean and seems to do lots of takeaway. We have been twice and had them order for us and we thoroughly enjoyed the food. The kids even loved it.
