Firstly, this is a fish –n- chips shop with some tables and chairs out the front, not some gourmet fish caf. Anyone who reckons this is good dining has had a gastronomic lobotomy.

Nice location, lovely presentation but that's where the nice part of the experience ends. Service ranges from ordinary to downright rude. And then we get to the food. For some unknown reason the owner thinks his fare is special and deserves special pricing. Chips like you get anywhere and fish that tastes like mullet. I live local and it irks me that the only half decent fish and chip shop, virtually across the road from Aces closed down late 2010. And there isn’t another one in a 5km radius.

On the plus side, not eating fried fish and chips is good for your health.

Over priced and poor quality. This outlet sells fresh seafood and also cooks food for takeaway. We dined there today and had the prawn cutlets pack. The prawn cutlets were squashed flat and covered in crumbs to make a disc the size of a CD. We then had to pay $2.40 for tartare sauce! Overall and $18 meal. Unbelievably bad.

Its along one of those plaza roads that is the main road of a suburb. Nice outdoor seating, limited and not spacious. It is basically a fish and chip shop with fresh tiles and mirrors.

I had the oyster mornay with sea scallops. Their food is fresh and flavoursome. Lots of cheese melted over the top but that's fine, you just scrape it off. I then shared a grilled seafood platter of mussels, octopus, prawns, fish, calamari, salad and chips. The food was cooked well and didn't take very long. The oysters and scallops should have been enough and the grilled platter was over the top for one meal.

Still I must review, the fish was perfect, marinated with a wonderful sauce. I was too full to properly enjoy the rest of the grilled platter, so I just stuffed my face to finish it. As for cost, go online to their website to view the menu, you will see that the prices are fair and you get what you pay for with quality.
