Nice simple decor. Prompt service and reasonable value. Enjoyed the dessert bread pudding.

This place has provided good indian in the past. However, not so when we dined here last Friday night (early August).

The butter chicken was the worst I have ever tasted (and I have tasted a lot of butter chicken). It tasted like red flavoured charcoal. Yes I should have complained, but you would think an indian place could get their butter chicken right the first time. The lamb korma was tasteless. Amazingly bland.

Service is ok. Will be a long time before I return.

Went for lunch on Friday, service was slow. Except for that "grilled lamb cutlets" (can't remember the name, but it is on the main meals menu), others (butter chicken, beef vindaloo, the 3-side dish), everything was bland, including the yellow saffron rice. Price was too expensive (four lamb cutlets for more than $21???? You kidding!).

After hearing great things about Abhi's I ordered takeaway (perhaps this is where we went wrong!) we were extremely disappointed, the food was far from authentic not to mention overpriced for the portion we go. Takeaway for 4 people came to $90, we were left hungry and wishing we had gone elsewhere. The meals itself were very average.

Great food, cheap and cheerful restaurant. We really enjoyed our meal here and were amazed at the price. This is much better than your average suburban Indian restaurant. Our bill for 3 was $60 and we had more than enough food.

This restaurant is on autopilot and the owner reckons it will fly to its destination!
Please visit this restaurant to learn how a good restaurant will slowly start going south for a fair few reasons:

Bad service with wait staff developing an attitude under a senior staff who behaves like GOD on the floor. High prices for the quality of food served, it is getting uncompetitive mate.. Authenticity of food lost, tempering with curry leaves becomes south indian and cumin and a bayleaf become north Indian - Very average food on a clean plate.

If you do not contribute at least $50 - 60 (per person per table) the wait staff are not interested, reckon they have targets. This is evident in the service, order more and you get better service, try it, no kiddin' So why should I go to Abhi's? is it because it is full on a saturday on Concord road? or because it is mediocre unauthentic food at a high price? or because someone finds battered spinach or fatty lamb exotic? Avoid and save, pay your mortgage.

The food here has to be close to some of the best Indian food in Sydney with some nice variety compared to the standard Indian menus around town. Always crowded, which is a good sign, but sometimes this means poor service, could be fixed by adding 1-2 extra staff. The portions are a little small for the price, but the taste quality makes up for the quantity.

Went here Saturday night with the wife, I must say it was a great experience. The place was packed, and all the other restaurants on concord rd were only half full if not empty, I guess that means something. Service was good, always topping up wine and water. The food was very tasty, salt and pepper squid was to die for, a little small serving though.

The deboned quail was also good, as well was the garlic naan bread. As most people say on this website its a little dearer than most Indian, well they are right, but well worth it. I would recommend this place to anyone who loves the flavors of India.

Awesome food, friendly service, perhaps, the best Indian in town. Scallops are a nice welcoming entree, very different from the cliche Indian. The Goat Curry is spicy but satisfies. Good wines by the glass. Definitely worth the money for the quality.

One of my favourite indian restaurants (though I don't eat indian much). Found the food tasty, but TOO overpriced for the small portions. Service was friendly.
