Great food, Service was fairly good. The look and feel of the room we were in was nice. Although the ambience was lacking and the seating arrangements for our group of ten was not conducive to us talking to each other comfortably. We did not have a belly dancer, however, I believe that was because we commenced our dinner at 6.45pm and had to leave around 8.15pm for a show. I would recommend this restaurant for the food and value.

Why anyone would go past the banquet, I do not know. The team were extremely flexible to tweaking the banquet for one full vegetarian and one chicken only meat eater. (click through to blog for more info and images)

My first experience of true lebaneese cuisine, and after an experience at Abdul's I'm hungry for mire! We ordered the banquet for 2 before the theatre and bread and dips came out immediately! The stuffed vibe leaves and flannel were gorgeous, but the highlight for me was the tabouleh and chicken skewers, as both were so fresh and the chicken! It looked to crispy on the outside for there to be any chance if it being juicy, but it was amazingly moist! The first waitress we had was so nice, but the second was surly and rude, and said nothing when we paid and handed her a $10 tip. Apart from that minor blip, the food was amazing and there was so much of it! A truly wonderful experience.

We returned to Abdul's after several years. It's still the same good value restaurant with genuine Lebanese authenticity. Service was prompt and pleasant, the place has been done up a bit but, thankfully not too much and the toilet is much improved.
Food, as always, is great. Dips are particularly perfect while any other selection is good. For first timers the $25 banquet provides a great cross section of what's on offer. Don't forget the coffee and sweet treats. That's a vital part of the great Lebanese food culture. We'll be back soon Abdul's!

We have been going to this place for over 10 years and our favourite, the falafel rolls are still awesome.
Falafels with whole sesame seeds, delicious spices and greens, not just beans. Crispy and fresh. The their tabbouleh is always fresh, the best dips, garlic, baba ganoush and hummus and of course their tahini sauce.
They are always generous with their servings. Good to see the same people serving there after these years, its a regular thing, and not worried about the service for takeaway. They are usually pretty good and crack a smile. Maybe not so when they are busy, which is often. Oh well came for my falafel roll anyway.
Don't eat in often either, and it does look the same as it did years ago, not as cosy as other places. But the value is excellent with delicious food, ready to go.

Went for a birthday, group of 20 or so. Well looked after, food came out regularly and was good quality Lebanese. Vegetarians were taken care of and the staff were efficient but a little detatched. BYO is a big bonus, they didn't seem to mind beers either.

Very good but basic Lebanese cuisine. Have been going here for many years (menu basically the same). Not fancy surrounds so you go for the food. I certainly recommend the fresh lemons juice (we get it by the jug) and the dips. I am picky about babaganoush yet love the one here. My brother is a houmus fan and has tried many from around Sydney and overseas and says it's probably the best.
Lovely falafels especially with tahini sauce (I have had some in Sydney that were doughy or bland). They also do very good chicken skewers with fantastic 'garlic sauce' (Not the chicken on the big roll for kebabs), very good lamb skewers (I like mine medium rare), very good tabouleh, coriander potato and fried cauliflower. Fatoush salad is made fresh, and best eaten straight away. I'm not fond of the kebbe (usually heated up and a little dry).
Service is 'patchy' sometimes surly. Very good takeaway kebab sandwich/roll although we often get several dishes to go. They also have better than average turkish delight and baklava. The desserts are a little bit more to eat in, but with lebanese coffee makes a great finish to a meal.

We went to celebrate a family birthday. Because a few of our party had been there before, one of them suggested we order 2 banquet plates amongst 5 of us, saying it was more than enough (3 of our party were young people with smallish appetites). The waitress was foul tempered, very annoyed at us and wouldn't take our order. She was getting the seniior staff, she said, and he duly came (after a long wait), and was equally disgusted when we stuck to our guns and ordered what we wanted - plus some extra kebabs.
The woman continued to be ill tempered with us and frankly, while the food was very good value, the poor quality of the service and the general griminess of the place means I certainly won't be spending my money there again. I was interested to see her do the same thing to the adjacent table. If it hadn't been the birthday boy's chocie of venue I would've left without ordering.

Yum but don't go to the toilet here, scary and dirty! All the vegetable salads are nice, service is friendly but still, overall, it's just okay. Go to Auburn if you want this kind of food. Go to sushi suma if you're in surry hills.

I've eaten here a few times now and while service may not be all that friendly, the food is always great and plentiful, and the fresh lemon juice is amazing (and so hard to describe). Good value for money and I always look forward to eating there.
