Have had lunch here twice with mates on weekend. No complaints, but not memorable. Average quality and value, but no less than expected for a typical pub meal.

Have also visited on Anzac Day but left soon after. 2-up was in the back courtyard but had zero atmosphere. We went down to the Aussie Youth which was the polar opposite, good crowd, good fun.

I attended a function there last year and had a fantastic time. The room was beautifully presented and was perfect for our function. The food was fantastic! not what I would expect from a pub. The Cocktails were also really nice and the staff were very helpful.

Please not the average ratings. The food and service is either excellent or extremely poor. Great if you have nothing in the cupboard but don't bring friends it can be extremely embarrassing with overcooked steak and seafood and little service when they are busy.

I ordered a sirloin steak medium rare. It was served done. I returned it and was served a rare steak with a quarter of it full of gristle. Not only that, but for what I paid ($18.80) the serving was tiny. My friend ordered the barramundi, which was dry and unappealing. Very disappointing considering it rates itself as Sydney's best pub grub.

Love this place, food is fantastic, wow what a bar. Service is excellent. Friend had a function there and it was amazing as a guest. She tells me that this was the easiest place to deal with, not expensive, cool music and man even a smoking balcony on the same floor as the function. Oh love the Ken and Barbie dolls on the toilets door. lol.

Came here on Boxing day with friends. Serving sizes are very generous, squid was nice and fresh. A friend of mine got a laksa and the bowl was huge! Everyone left very satisfied. Lovely bar waitress and the fish tank bar is a nice touch too. Will be back!

Food here is great, not the average pub food. Very well priced with the 2 for 1 offers available. Lining up at the bar can be a bit of a hassle though.

We came here for Sunday lunch and thankfully it was quiet and not as busy as it gets on some nights. The gent behind the counter who took our order seemed to be spending as much time as possible walking away or around the bar in order to avoid us initially. Once we finally made contact with the chap in question and asked could he take our order, he kept saying "just a minute" and going away and coming back a couple of times.

When I asked could I order the $10 steak he seemed pleased to tell me that it came with "no sauce". My partner ordered a chicken schnitzel. Both the steak and the schnitzel were said to come with shoe-string chips and salad. When we asked for no chips on one and no salad on the other, the request was dutifully ignored. The soft drinks we ordered were post-mix and were syrupy and flat. At $3.50, they were poor quality.

When the food arrived, it was brought by a fairly happy chap which was nice after our first encounter at the bar. The "salad" consisted of a few wilted mixed greens. From the taste, there was no dressing. The shoestring chips were not too bad, but nothing super special. The small steak had been cooked quite nicely and tasted really good. The schnitzel had a nice crumbing, and the overall texture of the chicken in question was quite thick and juicy.

So, if you know what you are in for, I guess for $10 a steak/chips and "salad" isn't a bad deal, though the small schnitzel for $14 was no great value. Don't know if I'd be fighting the Friday night crowds to get a meal like this one.

Went here with my brother in law, and his wife Nicole for lunch and must say it was pretty sweet inside. We had some ice cold beers (which didn't touch the sides after walking 10km). We ordered the Singapore noodles and the biggest laksa I have ever seen. The food here is probably one of the best in a hotel I have ever seen. I will try the steak next time, as I heard people commenting near us on how good it was.

I have been to many functions both work and personnel but I have to say wow what a place. Its stunning. The canapes are do die for, the service is really friendly, the beer prices are so cheap, they have their brewed beer, great wines and you feel like your one special person. Yeh! finally a place that offers 5 star quality at a working mans price. Well Done.
