This is Aussie Chinese at it's best - the fried rice evokes childhood memories of that special family night out in the 'burbs when the only other local choice was fish and chips. Except of course there was no peking duck back then, and we really enjoyed ours at a recent lunch, first as pancakes with the skin, than as sang choy bau. Honey chicken was a little too Aussie for my taste but green vegetables complemented the meal admirably, and all of the above was a bit more than the 3 of us could eat.
A few things didn't go quite as smoothly as we would have liked - the carafes obviously sat unused on the shelves for so long that the wine arrived with small dead flying critters floating on top (which was hastily rectified) and the wait for food was interminable; not good for work day lunch. Though at most, there were 3 tables plus a stream of takeaways, the lone woman couldn't cope and would also disappear for long absences into the kitchen (presumably doubling as a kitchen hand); would hope she has some help when there are (presumably) more people in the evening. In all though, with enough interesting things on the menu to pique my interest and prices in the lower range, will definitely be giving it another shot.

My husband and I tried this place based on the past reviews and they were right. The Peking Duck is massive and basically is a meal for two on its own... The sweet and sour prawns are delicious and the servings are more than generous. Definitely will be going back there again.
We had the Banquet. The food was very good and came at an easy pace. The Chinese people with us said the food was not good Chinese but good Australian Chinese food.
I am a big Fan of Chinese Food and I must say this would have to be one of the best. Beef and Blackbean and the Satay chicken sensational. The best thing about the place is the food as it is one of the only Chinese places where the food is not drenched in oil. Keep up the good work.
Peking Duck (2 course) is extra cheap here for only $32 and is extra tasty! For dessert, just like the reviewer below commented, make sure you order the Peking truffle balls -its beautiful and for those who don't like anything too sweet. If you want excellent value and friendly service, this is the place! Great Chinese food!
Make sure to try the herb & spice duck too. It's great!
Excellent food, great value and friendly service. We had Peking Duck which you have to order beforehand -very cheap! Cost $32!
And for desert, make sure you get the Pekingnese truffle balls (or something like that). Yum Yum! Really recommend this place.
