Will not be coming back, to think that this place is in the heart of the city, the service was appalling, you could definitely find better restaurants in Sydney let alone Melbourne, with better waiters and service to match its prime position.
Shame on you ALL.

It was terrible. Mashed potato isn't meant to be pureed, too much talking around with the waiters, who barely looked at us.

We recently had a three course dinner for a large group at this restaurant and had the best service and food. We had pre chosen our menu and had the scallops entree, lamb main and creme brulee. The food was well presented and of a very high standard. We had pre dinner drinks in the bar and were well looked after by the bar staff. I highly recommend this venue.

My husband and I visited 360 for the second time for our anniversary. Our first visit was fantastic, the food and service were spot on and the views of the city are brilliant. Unfortunately, the service has completely dropped the ball in the eighteen months since, making our visit last night painful to say the least.

We walked in and were quickly seated in a booth, and water, bread and oil were brought out within a couple of minutes. Our orders were taken shortly after that. We asked a few quick questions of our waiter regarding the origin of the fish on the menu (deceptively labelled as being "Humpty Doo Barramundi" and "Esperence Bay Salmon" despite coming from a fish farm near Newcastle), and were impressed at the honest answer he relayed from the kitchen. We settled in for what we were hoping would be a dining experience as nice as our previous visit.

Unfortunately, that's where the service stopped. A thirty minute wait eventually produced our entrees, which were beautifully presented. At the time the entrees were delivered, I enquired about the bottle of wine we'd ordered with the rest of our food half an hour before. The waiter looked perplexed and told us he'd find out where it was.

We started eating regardless. I ordered the seared scallops with prosciutto, sweet corn puree and basil oil, which were well balanced, meaty and fresh. My husband ordered a blue swimmer crab gazpacho, which was also interesting although the crab lacked flavour - however, it took ten minutes after the bowl was placed on the table to hail a waiter to bring him a spoon to eat it with.

About ten minutes after this, our original waiter turned up with another spoon but ran off when he realised someone else had brought a spoon out already. We were almost done with our entrees and I once again had to hail ANOTHER waiter to ask where our wine was. This proved slightly more fruitful as he went and asked our original waiter what had happened to it and we discovered that he'd failed to put the order through to the bar. A couple of minutes later, with our entrees well and truly gone, our wine arrived.

Another long wait and our mains hit the table. I ordered the lamb with eggplant puree, caramelised garlic, red wine jus and baked potato, while my husband ordered the previously mentioned faux-NT barramundi. Both mains were cooked perfectly, though in recollection I wasn't asked how I wanted my lamb done (lucky I err on the rare side of things anyway). The barramundi was buttery and had a delicious crispy skin, while the lamb was wonderfully tender and full flavoured.

We'd ordered a dessert which the menu stipulated would require a fifteen minute wait, which would've been fine with us had the wait actually been fifteen minutes. From the time our mains plates were cleared to dessert being served thirty five minutes had elapsed. At this point we noticed that the women sitting in the booth behind us, who arrived about forty minutes after we did, were getting exasperated because the bottle of wine they'd ordered with their meals hadn't arrived yet - about ten minutes after that yet another waiter turned up and told them the wine was out of stock and they'd have to order a different bottle. There was also another table behind them waiting on dessert for eons.

The desserts themselves were exceptional. I enjoyed a vanilla bean creme brulee which was perfectly crisp on top and deliciously smooth inside, served with a strawberry salad and marscapone icecream. My husband had a chocolate fondant with grand marnier icecream and sour cherries which was also fantastic.

Needless to say after scarfing them down we got up and waited at the cashier's desk to pay - we weren't risking another hour waiting for the bill! They managed to make an error in the bill, charging us for three two course meals rather than two three course meal - which required a manager and another ten minutes to rectify. Full of great food but incredibly tired we left.

Aside from the terrible waiting and comedy of errors with the wine and spoon, at no point did anyone ask us how our meals were. No one apologised for the delays in service. The beauty of the rotation of 360 is that, sitting in booths, you will on occasion be facing directly into the kitchen. The kitchen was not busy. It was a Wednesday night, the restaurant wasn't even half full. The oil from the bread and empty sparkling water bottles were left on the table for the entirety of the meal. No one asked us if we wanted more water. The combination of niggling errors and lack of detail made the service part of last night unbearable. Oh, and the bathrooms were dirty, with terrible glass panelling for doors which allows people waiting for the loo to see directly through the partitioning into the toilet stall. Think that's the last of my complaints!

Obviously you're paying a premium for the touristy experience of seeing Sydney from that height, and should thus expect a less than five star experience, however, comparing our two visits, something has gone horribly, horribly wrong on the service front at 360. The food, though delicious, could be found in any number of restaurants in the CBD, but unfortunately our sentimental attachment to the place meant we chose it over elsewhere. I doubt whether we'll make the same mistake again, perhaps we'll just visit for drinks on our anniversaries to come and spend the rest of the evening doing things that are more interesting than sitting around in a restaurant for hours!

We made a booking for saturday night at 9 pm but arrived at the bar at 6:00 pm to enjoy the view. The bar and the bar service were excellent. The restaurant, on the other hand, was awful. For the price I would expect a dedicated waiter per table. We had some five waiters during the night and had to ask for bread twice before it arrived even though the butter and oil had been sitting on the table for a half hour.

We all chose the 2 course menu, one of our guests choosing an entree and dessert rather than entree and main like the rest of us. All our entree's arrived on time but her dessert came a good twenty minutes before our mains. We had to hail passing waiters if we wanted anything such as more wine as no one came back and checked up on us through the evening.

The meal when it did come was small but very good although I am told the medium rare was more rare than medium. All in all an excellent bar with amazing views and quick knowledgeable service but the dining experience was good food ruined by awful service.

My friends and I went here recently, and found it to be quite a good night. Unfortunately, given the time, we missed seeing the sunset from the restaurant, but still enjoyed the views. The service and food were quite good, particularly the desserts, which were fantastic. Only downside was the price, which was a bit over the top for the portion sizes.

360 is a restaurant that is (trying to be) upmarket. If you are wanting an extremely expensive meal of reasonable quality then they have it covered. The revolving restaurant is a good touch for those who want to see the city, but, what would be the most breathtaking view (harbour bridge/opera house) is interrupted by a few buildings.

The wait staff were reasonable, there were quite a few drinks/dishes that were mixed up between patrons. Perhaps dizziness could be blamed for that. The food is reasonable. Definitely not the best food I've eaten in Sydney, and for the price you are paying, you would expect it to be ($95 - 3 courses).

I had the scallops/calamari for entree. The calamari, raw and a little bit metallic in taste took away from the flavour of the scallops. Main - lamb. extremely fatty, one cutlet and a slab of meat with it, quite small. Dessert was very good, proabably the highlight of the evening. It was a long drawn out process. There are definitely better restaurants around, and better views.

I had an absolutely terrible experience here and will definitely not be going back.

The food is fine, but the service was absolutely terrible. I came with a group of friends. Some of us arrived early - around 8pm. There was no one waiting to seat people, so having waited about 5 minutes we decided to just walk through. We were confronted by the rudest waitress I have ever met, who told us we should have waited to be seated. She then gave us the worst seats in the house, even though the place was absolutely deserted.
No one served us for ages, even though there was barely anyone there at the time and it was a weeknight. When we asked what time the kitchen would close that night, we were told 10pm. We told the waiter who was serving us that there would be a few people joining us at about 9:45 and asked if this would be ok. He said it would be.
When my friends came to join us at 9:45 though, we were told the kitchen was closed and they couldn't be served.

We went away hungry, cranky and poor. If you're after a great view, you can get it elsewhere. If you're after decent food at inflated prices, you can do better.

My partner and I thought we'd check this place out pretty much for the view - however to our surprise the whole experience was brilliant, nice inside and the food turned out to be divine. The food had a bit of a French feeling which was nice.
Make sure you leave room for dessert.
