Came here for a quick and cheap lunch on a weekday. With that in mind I was quite happy with the food. The menu is a little limited but not so much that I couldn't find anything I liked. I had the mesculin salad and my friend had the chicken burger meal deal with xxxxGOLD beer. Really good sized meals and nice fresh and tasty ingredients and really value for money. Nothing fancy but we left feeling full and happy.

Ambience wasn't too much considering it was during the day and wasn't very full but I imagine at a time with a few more people in it would be really good. Service was also friendly.

I really enjoyed this pub while I was in Sydney, good music, great staff, a bit like a massive english pub.

While there isn't much of a food menu the drinks are fine. The biggest problem I have with this place is the bouncers, especially the oldest one that for some reason didn't let my group of four 28-32 year old girls/guys in when not one of us had a drink, we all dressed well and it was a sunday evening. The same bouncer is aggressive, tends to favour the better looking girls and can be abusive. I won't be going back.

Not really a pub person but one doesn't really know if they like a place unless one tries it out. Three wise monkeys is a good pub in terms of location. Plenty of diversity in staff and patrons. Mortal sin is absence of beer jugs and I still don't understand why there are no sofa like seating just stools where if someones too drunk or over excited they will fall to the ground like a pack of cards.

Surprised at the lack of rowdiness. Barman was caring enough to accurately preview the ingredients in my cocktail, the other floors seem dirty and the place needs at the bare minimum a pool table. Value and service are good. Just not a comfortable place compared to others in the city. Even worse are the toilets and the wi fi is so weak it can't play youtube videos on mobiles.

Given this review I don't see how pub culture is better than cafe culture. If you just want to go to a pub this is passable.

I went there recently and was surprised how good it was, the vibe was excellent, the staff where friendly and the band was really good. It’s worth a look.

I was forced to come back to this place for a drink after a work team outing. I am pleased to report that it was a much better experience going there in the afternoon if you're just having a quiet drink or two. They have XXXX on tap too if you're game.

But I'd still warn people against going there at night.

Lousy to the max. The bouncers are very aggressive to my group, and none of us were drunk or anything, just not attractive. Note that people have suffered some highly negative consequences as a result of aggressive bouncers in the past.

Terrible place. Stay away at all costs.

Worst service ever! Securities guys are just arrogant and treat you very, very bad. I used to go there quite frequently but after what occurred below, I just can't believe this place is still open. The 2 guys who were "in charge" on 22/01/09 laughed at my husband's ID saying he was "a kid" (he's 32) and didn't even look at it, they told us to "get out of the way, I'm busy" and asked if my ID was a joke -I'm a tourist and I carried my passport's copy which allowed me to enter in the weeks before!

Weird, right? Several times they accept it, but on that night they were rude and ignorant! I agree that my copy was not acceptable, but how did they accepted during the weeks I went there? It's ok to say no, but it's unacceptable to treat people in a very rude and badly manner. The bands are really cool, but the service is terrible, they really don't care about the clients or about people's treatment. Shame on you.

Live music every night but yeah drinks a bit pricey! Love Adam in the ice bar best barman ever and sooo nice! Good managers, do their job without being nasty about it! All I can say is clown!

Avoid this bar if you don't want a filthy foul smelling bar crowded with sweaty people who smell of smoke.
