Have been for lunch a couple of times with friends. They have this $10 meal deal where all you have to do is buy a drink. So lunch would cost around $13, which is great value. I love the chicken schniztel at this place and in particular, the mushroom sauce on it. The meals are very generous in size. Would definitely go again.

Well-priced pub food with a few modern twists. Very pleased that there are still pubs in commercial areas of Sydney that haven’t become over-priced faux “gastro pubs”.

Love the Station. Never had a bad steak, Schnitzel or anything else. Bangers and mash are excellent, as is the frequently on special Himalayan curries. $10 meals across the board, Coopers on tap and they serve pints. Attractive bar staff and completely non-pretentious atmosphere unlike The Union. Can't ask for more.

I used to love going to the Station Hotel for lunch until this bad experience.

We ordered our usual chicken schnitzel with mushroom sauce - the same thing we ordered each week we went.

The schnitzel came out with normal gravy. Ok, a little disappointed because we were hungry, so my partner took them back to the bar and explained that he'd asked for mushroom sauce, not gravy.

This was mentioned to another guy and he told my partner that he had not asked for mushroom sauce at all, that he had asked for gravy. My partner said, "No, I ordered it with mushroom sauce, I know what I ordered."

With that, the plates were taken away, mushroom sauce was slopped over the existing gravy and they were handed back to us.

The schnitzels and chips were dripping in the mixture and it ended up being quite disgusting and sickly.

Needless to say, we haven't gone back since. Quite disappointing, as I used to enjoy my weekly lunch at the pub.

The last couple of times I've been there, I've had the steak with mushroom sauce. The sauce is good, but the steak tasted gross and burnt on the outside, so I won't be giving that any more chances. Good service, though. But it's annoying that they don't have a credit card machine.

Go to Station quite regularly, use to go to metro round the corner before it closed up. 'Station' is a great place to meet up with friends, points are 5.8- though - exxy, especially considering metro had $3 schooeys on tuesdays. Bar staff are lovely.

Love the Station, especially $10 lunch deals, recommend the steak and pepper sauce if you like your flavour, only downside is that drinks are a little pricey, great atmosphere though!

I came in for a Friday lunch and was amazed by the service provided by the manager Kieran Barry. He ensured that our table was clean and that we were all taken care of. We will definitely be back! The food was excellent! Well done Kieran.
