Spent a Sat brunch at this cafe. Very relaxing atmosphere and happy that they've free wifi service. Good service and nice staff and you may always spend as much time as you want in this cafe.

Had an Egg Benedict with salmon. Nice poached eggs and salmon sided with salad but the portion was smaller than expected, could have more salad to go with or a larger piece of bread.

I love the fact that they accommodated my friend by serving her gluten free french toast, which I tasted and it was delicious. The service was prompt and polite. All the food we ordered was delicious. We would definitely eat here again.

Great food and drink, great atmosphere, super comfortable. Its fine dining without the attitude. Fantastic sunday morning breakfasts! Unique menu, love the chorizo scrambled eggs and the waffles with butterscotch sauce. Would recommend this cafe.

One of my favorite Newtown places to take friends to. Adore the food and the atmosphere. Also, we were all quite surprised when they brought out the hot chocolate on a stick! Amazing! Pretty good service when out of peak hours. Highly recommended to people who likes food with an interesting twist! Wagyu beef sandwich would be a great choice!

Fantastic helpful and eager staff, and a great menu.

Unfortunately I have to judge my food experience on the wilted spinach - it was gritty. This product should be rinsed, and preferably soaked to remove any remnant grit. While being transported by food to one's childhood can be a pleasant experience, that isn't the case when the memory is of sand in your sandwiches.

This aside, it was a great experience, and great food. Coffee was great. I'll try again... Guys - the spinach!

What a tremendous breakfast at 2042 on the weekend! The corn and ricotta hotcake was the best I've ever eaten with a wonderful crisp crust and a gentle flavour which perfectly complemented the rocket, bacon and pickle.

The decor in 2042 is welcoming and homely, as are the team who own and run the cafe. Andrea is a breath of fresh air and she instantly made us feel welcome sharing a laugh and conversation.

The menu provides much choice and I look forward to going back to continue to work my way through it. Highly recommended.

It's quite a big place, and I loved the sofas in front of the window, looks like the ideal place to sit and chill out, and they played music and made it extra enjoyable. The only problem is the noise factor. Being on King st, the glass windows were not noise-proof, and it's pretty noisy even half way into the shop, it made sofa area undesible.

Coffee is great in terms of milk, barista skill, portion, food was wonderful with fresh deli supply. Staff are helpful, friendly and smile at customers. It's great for quick food and coffee, but perhaps not for book reading, as noise outside and music inside both make it difficult to concentrate on reading.
