Live locally and had read good reviews on this establishment over an extended period. Visited on a recent Saturday night with my partner and the restaurant was quite busy. We were seated outdoors at our preference and atmosphere is genuinely lively and upbeat with a friendly vibe. Situated on busy David Low Way at Coolum, traffic can unfortunately be unpleasant at times. Certainly not the first choice for a quiet romantic evening.
Must say that all round the food was excellent, genuinely seafood at its best, however perhaps just a touch expensive considering the surroundings and plain cafe style decor. Scallop entrees, while beautifully fresh, were not much more that a tasting plate unfortunately. In fairness, mains of fresh grilled fish were far more generous and cooked to perfection.
Overall the service was friendly and efficient with both young waitresses attending our table obviously enjoying their work. Drinks were refilled with a smile, dishes coming and going with a minimum of fuss. Jury is still out on overall value for money......but will probably be back on the quality of the meals.
Lovely food. The snapper was cooked to perfection. The waitress was very thoughtful and attentive. I do believe it is quite overpriced for what is essentially a side walk cafe on a main road with no ambience.
