Lovely friendly new patisserie/café in what was formerly a bit of a dead zone in Stanmore/Enmore. Patisserie fare looks awesome and innovative (hazelnut dome in particular), but I virtuously confined myself to the homemade petit muesli and Lush yoghurt. Lovely sunny spot - the trucks go thundering past so it's not quiet, but surprisingly enough it did have a lovely corner spot type of ambience.

Tried this new seafood restaurant on parra road last Friday. As soon as we arrived fresh hot grissini and sourdough was placed before us (no charge). They have brought over a pastry chef and baker from Italy and it's the best grissini I've ever had. We had stuffed calamari dish for entree but the highlights for us were the fresh parpadelle with wild rabbit and a gorgeous charcoal grilled seafood platter. The prices were extremely good value. It's BYO also which helps bring down the cost. Vintage Cellars opposite. A really lovely meal overall and it was a crime more people don't know about it. Definitely worth a try for lovely fresh Italian food and seafood. A cut above anything in the area.

Following several friends who'd come and enjoyed - I booked for a special ocassion. Choosing the larger degustation, the nine of us started with our own extra sparkling. It was a nice French bubble.
Starters were very nice. Yet the marinated cucumbers seemed sparse at best. The sake pairing was ill positioned, poorly matched and basically ruined the food served together. At last... a red wine, and divine! Yet alas, a few starters. one main, and five freaking desert courses! I can not stand deserts so basically passed on half the meal. Not impressed.
The staff were good. Especially liked the troupe that brought each dish out all at once. Nice touch.
Guess if you like pomp and ceremony, to pay through the nose for (at best) average... and to have half hearted pairings of nearly all white wines to fine, yet unimanginative food -- Six Penny may be for you. Me however, never, ever again. $250 a head - and still had to have snacks, decent drink, and tea when returning home.
I had high hopes and moderate expectations - yet left disappointed.

I am part of a group passionate about good food and wine. We regularly gather to enjoy food and wine matching events at each others' homes and also visit various restaurants. Nine of us looked forward to something special based on various reviews including the GFG hat.
We occupied a large table separated from the main dining space and overlooking the kitchen - good ambience. The service throughout the night was professional, efficient and unobtrusive, although the "sommelier" had some difficulty pouring equal quantities!
But it was the food and wine that we really came for. We started with a glass each of Champagne - very pleasant. We ordered the "large" degustation with matching wines ($210 per head). As you would expect lots of little dishes, some grouped with a "matching" wine, others coming with their own specific "match". Each wine serving approximately 75 ml.
There was one exceptional dish - Coorong Mullet -- and two very good - the Crab/Macadamia -- (apparently a signature dish) and the Sour Cream Strawberry -- dessert. Otherwise novel (clever?) but unremarkable. Similarly the wine - one extremely good (the only red wine to be served) - the others at best "interesting" and (with one exception) not matching the food - in fact one quite nice white wine lost all its appeal when tasted with the "matched" dish. So all in all disappointing - in "post mortem" all nine of us of similar opinion.

This place is absurd. I wouldnt take my dog there after the food I got from them today. It was absurd when it opened and not much has changed.

By far the best restaurant in Sydney at the moment! The crab dish is my favourite course. The macadamia adds a crunch and works very well with the sweetness of the crab meat (crab is naturally sweet). For anyone with a minimum food knowledge that is the place to visit. I have been here twice in the last couple of months and would be back really soon. Fresh ingredients used with respect to their flavours, amazing combination of textures.

We called in and had breakfast last sunday and were very supprised at how much the cafe has changed now that it has been extended, it is even brighter and airer then before.
On a weekend, 2 extra staff were employed. The dinners of a Thursday and Friday night are now back on again. The service is as friendly as it was before and the menu has been added to. I still enjoy the deluxe bacon and egg roll at $8:50 it is a bargain. But if this is not your thing you can create you own breakfast.
Lots of cup cakes and other cakes to choose from, all home made. My favorite is "The food of the gods", also a selection of hand made chocolates. Good value is the bag of assorted fresh fruit for $10, which I buy every week now along with the fresh eggs. The atmosphere in the cafe is relaxed and you are not rushed so it is a great placs for a meal or a coffee with friends.

Great to see atmosphere and the service hasent change since they have enlarged the cafe, this is the second extension they have done.
The cafe is much bigger, brighter and lots of room around the tables and chairs.
A very large exhaust system has now been install along with a bigger air - con system.
New items have been added to the menu's, more cakes to choose from and now hand made chocolates.
Beside the boxes of fresh fruit and vegs you can order and have made up there is now a limited range of fresh fruit and vegs available all the time.
It is great to see this cafe doing so well and employing more staff.
We have been going there since they first opened and if you are new to the cafe it doesn't take long at all for Peter, Arthur and the staff to get to know you by name.

What a bitter disappointment! Why are there nuts in every single dish of the 10 course degustation? The food they serves us was an absolute joke. I was still hungry by the time the first of our 3 desserts were served (and I'm a little Asian chick). I've had friends who've been here a few months before me and raved about this place like no tomorrow.
I don't understand what happened in between, but a kitchen that looked like 90% of the chefs being apprentices doesn't give me much confidence. I'm totally disappointed by this place. There needs to be more focus put back into the combination of good produce and fundamentals, and less on pretentious arrangement of meaningless things on the plate.
Some things we had on the night: About 30ml of carrot soup, chopped up cucumber with herbs (that's all there was on the page literally), potato scallop, Mud crab, macadamia milk, shaved macadamia & macadamia nuts (this dish sucked - why are there nuts in this and why was it sweet?).
Some savoury dishes tasted more like dessert dishes. Burnt bread. Very "garden" (lots of raw herbs and flowers). Service awkward, chefs serve food and explain what it is (but not explain it clearly enough). No menu so don't know what we're eating or up to in the courses. Strongly not recommend!

The Asian barista is hands down the rudest man I have ever come across in hospitality. I ordered a takeaway sandwich and waited 15 minutes on the street for it. When I requested that he check on it, he yelled at me, "this is not a McDonald's!", and threw my money back in my face. I was stunned by the audacity. I am not an unpleasant customer and he was completely hostile. I told him that I couldn't believe he was yelling at me and that as I was local I would be sure to tell people about this experience. He yelled back, "I don't care--get out of my shop". I am so appalled. This is the first time I have ever felt compelled to write a negative review

I have been going to Cafe Perci since Clark took over a while back and it's a great cafe, best in Stanmore. It's my local for lunch during weekdays. The food is great, the service wonderful, great choice of music and a lovely atmosphere. Now open for dinner on Friday and Saturday nights which is fantastic news for Stanmore since we desperately need a decent place for a casual dinner.
