Although my friend and I did not have a booking, we were warmly met and seated without hesitation. We sat on the terrace which has a nice ambience and chill out music playing. Prompt and friendly service, we enjoyed chatting with our waitress about the local wineries and places to visit.
Entrees of the Russian Scallops and Chilli Squid ordered, followed by the mains of Honey Brined Pork and Duck Maryland and then a finale of the Creme Brulee. All meals were without fault and complimented on. Together with the SSB it was altogether a lovely meal in a lovely setting. Would definitely recommend and definitely return.

Dined with my partner and on the day we were told the kitchen staff had left and a "junior" kitchen staff would be in charge. It was also first day of a new menu, some warning signs perhaps.
When we ordered we were told two things were not available, on first day of a new menu! A bit odd considering one was simply a steak. Entree's of Foie Gras and Scallops were really good.
Mains not so enjoyable. One we ordered was crispy pork belly. At the first attempt half of the pork was crispy and the rest very soggy. Waitress took it back to kitchen and returned advising the chef could deep fry it if we liked. Suggested that might not be so good but happy to wait for another try.
A very short time later another appeared that was worse than the first. The pork skin hadn't even been cooked and it appeared the pork meat had been deep fried. It became obvious the kitchen staff didn't know how to cook crispy pork belly.
Anyway, we ordered a different main and it was delicious as was the other my partner ordered. What he could cook was pretty good. Waitress was terrific in handling this issue and then the manager also chipped in to assist. Were not charged for the replacement meal or the pork belly. Wines were good and I thought very well priced.
Overall pretty good as long as we were happy to roll with a couple of stuff ups and be patient. We had plenty of time and enjoyed the wines and the lovely log fire. I'd go back again only to confirm everything was now Ok.

A great location and nice sitting outside. The service was very prompt and casual. We felt quite at ease.
The boar ragout at $33 was good but too expensive. The pizzas were $25 and really not particularly tasty. The wines are well-priced and you would hope so considering it's a winery also.
