A disaster from the beginning! I really don't know why I bothered. My partner and I ate here Easter Saturday. I booked online the week before. For some reason I thought u better call to confirm as they had not contacted me about it. Luckily I rang as the booking had not gone through. Don't bother booking online.

We were greeted by a guy, friendly and we thought all good so far. We ordered drinks and they came approx 25 minutes later. With 2 mojitos instead of 1.
Entree was ok, nothing amazing. We were waiting so long for it and were so hungry we just wolfed it down anyway.

I ordered the special for main scotch fillet and my partner the rib eye. After another 40 minutes his came out and mine was nowhere to be seen with no explanation. When I asked one of the waitresses she told me mine had been given up somebody else and so I would have to wait another 15 minutes. We sent my partner's back also as we said we were out for a meal together and wanted to eat together.

When we finally got our steaks they were overcooked. How could a steak house get it so wrong? While all this was going on the guy who greeted us and took our order was now on the stage singing Micheal Buble very badly. My partner at one point said he felt as if somebody was going to jump out and say we were on candid camera. Never again! They only positive was that the waitresses were apologetic.

Unfortunately, this place was dreadful, flies buzzing around grubby tables, small portions for high prices and a singer that was out of place and too loud. The quality of the steak was poor for the price. The service was slow but friendly.

Service was ok they seemed to try, Music was so loud that we moved to the deck but still unable to hold a conversation, food was not restaurant quality.

Had dinner here recently while on holidays, service was fantastic. Felt that there was not much variety on the menu to choose from. What I received was not what was on the menu that I ordered so they gladly took it back. Kids and hubby were pleased with their food/ orders. Kids menu was really pricey. Was a good night, music entertainment was relaxing.

Had a great night while in holidays. The service was efficient and fast. The food offer were great even if their entrees section look more appealing than their main section. Busy night good food, well presented we tried other restaurant in the complex not as good as this one. A great evening. A must try!

The Beef and Barramundi is part of the Ettalong Beach Tourist Resort Complex. There are other dining choices available including Chinese, Indian, Spanish and other. Wife and I dined with our former neighbours who now live on Central Coast. We chose Beef and Barramundi and had a terrific evening, everyone thoroughly enjoyed all the food (three courses) and the service was very good. The restaurant was busy which is always a good sign.

After reading all the reviews we were a little dubious going here. As we were wanting steak and very disappointed previous evening we decided to give it a try. The service from the time we walked in was excellent food was well presented and tasted great, portions were big. The only issue we had was with our drinks, we had to ask where they were and when we got them I got a three quarter class cocktail in a drinking glass and also had to ask twice for water for the table, Manager did come over to apologize but we did not get any compensation or discounts off bill. So We would go again but for the food, not too sure about the drinks. So if you want good food in Ettalong and not too fuss about your drink it is the restaurant to go too.

I thought this place was good and much better than some of the other reviews made it out to be. Food was nice and service was attentive. There could have been a better selection of wine. Also, I probably would have expected more beef and barramundi on the menu!

6 prawns grilled and served dry with some shredded carrots. Ribs with sauce added after broiling. Bowl of chips. Along with a plate of burnt garlic bread, which was replaced with lightly warmed 3 day old bread and melting garlic butter. 72 bucks. Ouch. Busy place but can't tell you why.
