We were guests at Paperbark Camp and dined on our first evening. It's set amongst the canopy of the lovely surrounding bush and is a world apart from any fine dining experience in Sydney (or any other city I imagine).

The meals were all delicious, above all the lamb (mains) and chocolate mousse. The cheeseboard also stood out and was accompanied perfectly with a port. The service was wonderful, the staff were friendly and attentive.

But above all, the atmosphere is perfect, and a visit to jervis bay would be entirely lacking without a meal at the Gunyah.

If this restaurant weren't in rural nsw, it probably wouldn't have been given a SMH hat. I've had pub food just as good and for half the price. Despite many tables being available in the outdoor area, we were seated in the dingy back room - enough to ruin the experience. They also indulge in the outdated practice of charging customers for bread which they've brought out without asking.

We waited a good 15 minutes after asking for the bill twice. Wait staff were already being served their own dinners while we waited for someone to clear our table. When we eventually decided to go to the counter, the front-of-house could barely manage to make eye contact as we paid.

If you're looking for a special night out in jervis bay - head somewhere else instead.

We spent 4 days at the resort and had Breakfast and dinner every day at the restaurant. With every dishes I was amazed, surprised and delighted. Everyone of them comes with a fine presentation and exquisite taste. Services was brilliant. We will definitely return. The owner and the staff made our stay upmost pleasant. Thank you.

My family and I have been going to Fresh at the Bay for the last 3 years on holiday and passing through to visit family and we will be going back every year. Gorgeous location, Very tasty food, child friendly menu and staff always friendly and treat you like an old friend not as a customer (which is a big change from the restaurants in Sydney!) great value and an overall pleasurable dining experience.

They also do functions for all sorts of things, birthdays, work parties, anniversaries, engagements, catering for functions. A friend of ours is seriously considering having their engagement party there this year as a family member had their party there and they were very flexible with menu, seating, entertainment and had a fantastic time!

Highly recommend! Give it a try and we guarantee you'll be going back as often as we do! It's our favourite place to eat at Huskisson!

The staff were excellent, it's hard these days to get good service, and the head waitress was great. The food could do with some work to be more authentic, especially the sauces and the high levels of sugar. It's a welcome change for us city dwellers from the pub grub we normally have on holidays.

Overall we enjoyed our night out, the location is great and it was lovely to sit on the boardwalk sipping some cool wine and watch the world go by.

NYE 2011 Dinner - Over priced $13 for a one piece of sourdough bread with some tomatoes and a bit of fetta on top. Food was very tasty, but overpriced for what you got. It needs a facelift looking a bit tired, it was very dark inside.
Service was so slow. It was not busy only a few dinners. Disappointed Local.
