Having had a good experience with Scoopon meals in the past, must say my husband and I were looking forward to eat at Villa Picasso. However, we were incredibly dissapointed and can safely say we would never go back again.
First of all, when making the reservation a month in advance, I was told by a very rude staff member to be there at 6 pm as we had to be out by 8 pm. When we arrived, they had us for 8 pm and refused to seat us for about 20 minutes, despite the fact the restaurant was quite empty. Finally, we were seated outside on a wobbly table and the senior staff/owner, seeing this, refused to fix it or change us to another seat.
We got our entree (the only good point of our meal) and our mains 1 minute apart from each other. Not to mention we had to wait for quite a long time and saw other tables being served first, despite the fact they arrived and ordered after us. Also, never got cutlery or napkins so had to grab some from the table next to us, as the staff doesn't seem to care.
The entree of dips was actually nice, but the pasta was incredibly watery and had no flavour, and never got Parmesan. However, nothing was as bad as the desserts. My husband ordered a sticky date pudding and the cream was off, same thing happened to the person sitting next to us. When he asked for another, they brought him a cup of ice cream instead. My tiramisu had hair on it, and the replacement one was inedible as the cream was off as well.
We tried to voice this to the owner and she didn't care at all, putting as an excuse that "she's not in the kitchen so can't control what happens there". If this is "one of Perth's best Italian restaurants" don't want to imagine what the bad ones are like.

I've visited Villa Picasso twice now, I must admit I was using a scoopon (for those of you unfamiliar with this, it’s a heavily discounted voucher which you then take in to have a meal). The both times we were seated outside which is a very cute romantic setting, but apart from that there wasn’t a lot great about the restaurant. Our cutlery was dirty and we had to send it back and ask for another set, the service was also lacking as one waiter took our cutlery and never brought us another set.
Our mains arrived and we had to ask for knives and forks again. I also waited about 5 minutes for parmesan. The starters weren’t presented that well and the pizza and lasagne was very average. I will say that their pastas are nice. We also had dessert, the tiramisu was ¾ cream and my “death by chocolate” was a 2cm x 2cm square fudge?
Over all for $25 per person (scoopon price) it was a good meal but I would have been very very disappointed it I had paid the full value of the meal (somewhere near $120 for 2). And please don’t misunderstand me for a miser, I have paid well over $200 for some meals and been extremely happy.

Went there for dinner on a Wednesday night with my partner and although they weren't packed, after waiting an hour from ordering we still hadn't received our entree and nor would anyone come by to check on us. I pretty much had to go and alert the wait staff myself that we were still waiting. Within ten minutes our entree came and then ten seconds after that was our main.
Staff were not very sincere when apologising for the wait and when they realised we were not happy that our main and entree came out at the same time, the waiter said "well I'll take it away then". Very disappointing service! No offer of water/drinks whilst waiting nor from when we finally got our meal. Also I asked for no olives in my meal but it came out covered in them (glad it wasn't something I was allergic too as I was not going to send it back and wait another hour).
My partner ordered the lasagne, but it looked and tasted more like a shepherds pie. The glass of white wine I received tasted like it was straight from a cask and would not even have been one standard size. A bulky PowerPoint with numerous electrical cords also hung right at our table! Will Not be going back and most definitely would Not recommend this "restaurant".

Particularly liked the atmosphere this restaurant creates. When you first walk in it strikes you immediately as a warm and cosy place to be and the lighting is really ambient. On this basis I would definitely recommend it for romantic meals, though judging by the clientele it clearly caters for all occasions including childrens dining requirements.
Meal prices are not cheap but absolutely comparative to other eateries in the Perth area. Actually the food is generally of a better standard to a few other places I have eaten at and they provide a good serving in addition, therefore, don't let the price put you off.
They have attractive balcony dining which is superb through the summer months. Make sure you book in advance as it can get very busy. A good sign that it is worth a visit. Enjoy.

If you use your Entertainment Card, be aware that this restaurant does not always honour it. Food was average, as was service.

I have never been so insulted in my life. My night had been quite enjoyable. The food was average, and our waiter was quite friendly. I went to pay for the meal which came to around 60 dollars and I accidently gave the cashier 90 dollars instead of 70 which I had alerted him about after he had taken the money off me. He then adamantly proclaimed that I had given him only 70 and refused to give me my other 20 dollars back.
After a few minutes of arguing and being talked over by the cashier (who I assume is the senior staff of the place) I walked out. I was made to look like a pathetic liar in front of the entire restaurant not to mention being ripped off 20 dollars. This place obviously needs all the money it can get right now since it cannot retain its customers due to its terrible service. Extremely and utterly disappointed and I can safely say I will never ever go back to this place ever again.
