From beginning to end, our experience with Villa D'este was tainted by their misleading advertising on their website and their misleading omission from their menu regarding instances when they would not accept the Entertainment Card.

Website, contained 2 Business Lunch menus, their standard Business Lunch menu, of which I have dined on previously and a Christmas Business Lunch menu. Nowhere on the website did it say that from 1 December, the standard Business Lunch menu would no longer be served. So of course, I assumed that there would be a choice! This is particularly important because the standard menu costs $36 and the Christmas menu costs $70, double the price!

When we got there, we discovered that there was no choice and besides for being unjustly misled, we stayed and thought we'd give it a try. Food in all of the 3 courses was very average and not worth $70 per person. When we got up to pay and presented the Entertainment Card, we were told that it was not accepted for Business lunch menus, only for a-la-carte. Nowhere in the Entertainment Book or on any of the printed material in their menus did it say that the Entertainment Card would not be accepted for set menus. Now, if we knew that before, we could have been able to make a more informed choice about what to order for a pretty sub-standard lunch!

I would not recommend this place to anyone and we will not be going there again.
