Someone recommended this restaurant to me and I went there for breakfast. The building is interesting, and inside it's got an industrial feel. I had the corn fritter and wild mushroom, the mushroom was fine, very fresh. The corn fritter was not what I expected, basically it was a deep fried banana with some chocolate cream and peanut butter, it was too sweet for my taste. The coffee was nice, very smooth.

I flew back to Perth from Sydney to take my mum and family for mothers day degustation. The impression I got from booking was fantastic, I suppose it was the owner who called me to confirm, was very friendly and accommodating, to our needs. The restaurant was well staffed, and most of them were very friendly and provided excellent service, in particular I think it was a chef, was fantastic.

There was one waitress that wasn't so great, and for that reason I didn't give the overall rating a 10 on service. The ambience was modern, in an old house I think, but refurbished, no views or anything though. The lighting is dark, like other diners mentioned, but not the darkest restaurant I've been to, and it was pleasant for fine dining, with dimmed lights, and candles. As the night drew on, and the restaurant filled up, and it was fairly noisy, some background music would have been good to drown out everyone elses conversations.

Service also started to slow at this point, so the whole meal ended up taking around 3.5hours. Altho, they do warn you of this when you book. So if you're impatient like my husbund, go somewhere else for a 3 course meal, but if you don't mind having a relaxing night out, allow close to 4 hours for the whole meal.

The food - there were about 10 or 12 courses if you include the freebies and cheese course. Most were excellent. I particularly liked the Marron, the produce was excellent. And the Most unusual dish I loved was the bacon and eggs, it didn't taste like egg, but was delicious. One course I didn't really fancy was actually the main, this was a bit of a let down by the end of the meal, as the beef was rather chewy.

We ordered wines by the bottle rather than matching, and they were pretty good too. For so many courses, many which contained great produce, I think 125 for the degustation is quite reasonable in comparison to other restaurants serving similar food and offering similar service. They finished the night by writing "Happy Mothers Day' on mums dessert. Nice touch.

Shame on you MBH - Panorama Restaurant. Service is shocking, food is shocking and senior staff is even more shocking! Fail in my books! Went there for Mothers' Day breakfast and was so disappointed. Congratulations! You just lost a customer!

First of all, the prices were ridiculous and we even had to pay full price of $15 for a 1yo as it was a set menu. It was supposed to be Bacon and Eggs and came out with 2 pieces of bacon and a piece of hard, cold toast. No egg. The other meal for a child was 2 pancakes which were tiny (each about 5cm in diameter) and a big blob of cream. That too was $15. The meals were pre-paid but if I had known it was going to be tiny meals I wouldn't have bothered booking here. Very poor.

I asked for a hot chocolate in which, when it came out was not hot and there were no marshmallows or cookies with it, like a normal Good restaurant supplies. There was also no butter supplied with the toast that was served with the meals.

The senior staff took our high chair away cos he needed it and didn't even say Thank You and then didn't even replace it with another chair so our toddler had to sit on our laps for the rest of the time we were there.

The tables weren't cleaned often so we had stacks of plates and cups and that with a toddler is not a good mix (unless you want broken plates and cups!) so I put them on the floor and told the waitress when she came by next. She just looked at it, gave a little giggle then walked off! what?

There were 4 danishes that came with the set menu and when we received them I asked for some plates so we could eat them. The waitress came back with only 2 plates. I asked her for another 2 more plates and she said "oh, you want 4 plates?"..... well yes, there are 4 of us eating here!

Then as we were walking out I turned around to see the senior staff just staring at us, not even a "Thanks for coming" like the other waiter near him. I just shook my head in disgust.

1/10 rating from me. And the 1 point goes to the nice views. The minus 9 points goes to the disappointing service, senior staffs pathetic attitude, and the scummy quantity of food.

I used to like Panorama but I don't think I'll ever return now. And I urge nobody waste their time and money there either.

Went to Joes to celebrate a family reunion and found the place outstanding. The Snapper was great and the ribeye was cooked to perfection. There are few places that give this size steak for the price. Wait staff were extremely helpful and attentive.

Where do I start? Meals were not nice at all and completely overpriced considering the poor quality and the location, sauces were like water, chips were rock hard, some portions were small, mains were not all served together but within a one hour interval, what they claim to be a crocodile steak was in fact little slices of chicken, table was dirty with some old food completely dry stuck to it.

Entree was literally thrown on the table and part of it fell of the plate but staff could not care less and just walked away, part of the order never came out, the senior staff was rude when we complained basically telling us to go away and turning her back on us.

Overall one of the worst dining experience we had in a long time. Don't waste your time and money there.

A real disappointment! Salt and Pepper squid lacked any hint of salt or pepper, was bland and oily due to being deep-fried in breadcrumbs. How about more focus on flavour rather than volume?!

Seafood chowder had minimal seafood and could have been canned soup for all we knew. Grilled mackerel was way overcooked, so dry and lacking any flavour, definitely Not spiced as stated in the menu. I barely touched it and had to reject the waitress' offer to take it home. Chips were not crisp and must have been sitting for awhile. Sticky date pudding nothing special, from a box. Cashier was not friendly, especially when I didn't tip.

The wait staff are young and attentive and doing their best but the poor quality food lets them down big time. Joe or Owner and Cashier, you need to taste your food or at least compare to quality versions of what you do, that may explain why your restaurant was barely a quarter full while all the other places were close to capacity the night we went, it's time to start serving food to match the high prices you charge.

My husband and I are from Sydney and were entertaining clients at Ishka mid week. The restaurant wasn't overly busy but the service was appalling. We had booked and were seated promptly but it was another 15 minutes before we were offered a drink (had to beg for a wine list).

The food was average and extremely overpriced. No main we had was worth anything near $44 price. The final disappoinment was the cappuccino, probably the worst coffee I have had in a fine dining establishment. This was my husband's second visit to Ishka and, unfortunately, it will be our last.

Worst Experience to date! 10 of us celebrating a birthday and this is what we encountered, booking was mixed up, meant to be 7.30, didn't sit us down until 8.30. Took 45 minutes to write down our order. Buffet looked understocked as it was now late. The lightly dusted calamari, came out deep fried, and leaching oil, no side salad and therefore those 3 meals were not eaten.

The vegetarian risotto came out with chicken? No replacement meal as it was too late. Barramundi with side of chips $32 was a joke, as there were only 4 chips!
Service staff were thin on the ground for a sat night, took awhile to get attention. I would not go back.

We live in the neighbourhood, so been regular customers of Mends Street Cafe for 6 years since we moved into this suburb. Had breakfast a lot there. The food was normally good.

But last Thursday (5th April 2012) we took some friends who came from Bangkok to have late lunch around 4pm. We gave high recommendation about this cafe to them, so they wanted to try. The cafe was quiet at that time. When we finished our meal, I had to take my son to the rest room. So our friends helped me packing up our stuff. They forgot to pack my son's water bottle. I realized it after we came home late night.

First thing next morning I called the cafe. The girl who picked up the phone went away for a few minutes checking, came back and said there was nothing like my son's water bottle left in the cafe yesterday. I could not believe it, because that was the last place we went, before we dropped our friends back to their hotel, then headed back home. But, unfortunately, we had to rush catching a ferry to Pinguin Island on that day (Friday, 6th April 2012), so I could not drop by to that cafe.

The next day which was Saturday, 7th April, we went to La Gallete, the cafe next to Mends Street cafe. So I dropped by there and saw Ashley, the barista. When I asked her about my son's water bottle, she straight said, "Yes, I saw that bottle. It looked like pinguin, blue color". But she was really busy at that time. So I told her I'd come back later after having my breakfast. I already got so happy and excited that finally could get that water bottle back, as my son really love it and keep asking about it. Bought it in Indonesia, and could not be found in Australia.

Later on when I came back, Ashley was still busy, but she could sneak out to the kitchen to check. But she got back and told me she could not find it. According to the chef, "If it's not there then it must have been thrown out". And it's only 2 days ago! Besides when I called the day before, the girl who picked up the phone (unfortunately, I forgot to ask her name) said, it was not there. I got so so disappointed.

Not only because it is hard for me to get another one unless I go back to Indonesia, but also because the staff in that cafe were so careless and unreliable. It was so ironic, because we went there with some friends whom we gave high recommendation about the cafe. And it turned out we had this disappointing experience that changed the whole impression about this cafe. And we may never go back there again. That shows how important the service for hospitality business.

Went there on a hot Perth day for some fish and chips. The surrounding are wonderful, as they are at all the venues in fishermans harbour.

We ordered the snapper and the barramundi, but like all things Perth we didn't get what we ordered. 2 serves of Barra arrives at our table. Didn't complain as we both enjoy both fish types. How hard is it to get an order right?

The fish was cooked to absolute perfection. I don't think I have ever had a piece of Barra as nice or as well cooked as this.

Yes, we will be back and intended on doing so before we left Perth but, unfortunately, time was against us.

I have been to Bistro Felix twice and the first time had a really good meal but when I went last night I was appalled it started badly right from the get go.
Firstly the lady that got our reservation 5 days before never wrote it down so they couldn't find it anywhere we still managed to get a table.

The food came out really quickly and was not of anywhere near the same quality we had the first time. Our mains came out before our entree plates were even cleared which gave us a feeling that the table was double booked. Surely enough just as we ordered desserts they told us we had to move as the other table was here. So 1 hour after we arrived we had to leave I will never be returning after this incident.

Great value and fantastic food! very tasty! There is a huge variety and they cater for allergies and have options for gluten free as well.

I always feel welcomed when I go and the staff are wonderful! they always make sure I have enough to drink and if our meals are good (which they always are). they are very professional and the lady at the counter serves us with a smile every time!

The location is very accessible and the ambience of Sebastian's is great! I love the mural that is painted on the wall and the Large Pepper Grinder! it is so awesome!

Stumbled across this interesting building last Saturday morning for breakfast.
Food was fresh and hot, but really for what I got it was very over-priced.

Had one of the best decaf cappuccino's at the Mandurah venue. Better than my experience in Melbourne - as they are known for their great coffees. Their cakes and scones were delicious and their service was unbelievably fast. The view was looking out to the ocean and It was overall a wonderful experience. Cannot wait to go out there again for another cake and coffee.

I love Italian Food. This was walking distance to where I was staying and I ate their both nights I stayed in Fremantle. Yum for the Risotto! They do a Seafood Risotto which was full of prawns, clams, mussels. It had a gorgeous flavor which only true Italians could make! Perfecto!

The second night I tried the mushroom risotto and again my expectations were met! Lovely. It was pretty noisy in the restaurant but I ordered take away so I was not concerned.

The prices were about $20/main which I thought was reasonable. The desserts looked so good and I was so full from my risottos I could not fit one in even though my mouth was watering. Next time I visit Fremantle I will be definitely going there again!
