I have been a regular here on many visits to Perth. It is always sad to see a restaurant decline in some way. The service here is always superb, friendly, personal and swift. The food is simple but flavoursome. The restaurant ambience is pleasant. Problem is now the price whish has taken an enormous upward plunge in the past two years. What cost $42 is now $65 for a three course menu plus garlic bread. It's simply too much for the standard of food which is on a par with a decent pub bistro. Sorry guys, either drop the prices or jazz up the menu.

How do I even start about this place? All in all, my anniversary was ruined! First of all, the food was bad. I had the prawn and avocado salad and my partner had the prawn cocktail. The prawns seemed imported and the prawn cocktail was actually just a salad with a few tiny pieces of prawns on it! Then we had the fish of the day which was the red emperor and it was dry, tasteless, overcooked and there was only just a hint of sauce.

The other main was the grilled steak. I asked for medium rare and it was again, dry, overcooked (more like well done than medium rare, burnt on the outside and the sauce was abysmal. We started dining at 6.30 and left at 8.30 because the main course took too long. We even had to take the dessert away. There wasn't any other diners around, we were just the only one. Which restaurant starts stacking their chairs at 8 pm? Isn't that prime time? This restaurant does!

Lastly, when we were paying, we forgot to take out the entertainment card and so was "over charged" (because we didn't get the discount). We went back 5 minutes later to show the entertainment card hoping for a refund but they refused and said it was company policy. I think this is the first restaurant ever to do this! I will never come back as even parking was difficult to find and my GPS actually couldn't even bring us there. That is how secluded it is!
