Ah The Moon. Once so good, a place for people to go, have some great food, some quiet drinks and be served by amazing staff. What the hell happened?

This is my second attempt in a year to try and make peace with the dive this place has become. Alas, it was not to be. It wasn't too busy when we arrived. We took our seats and got given water and the promise of menus after being seated for about 10 minutes. 10 minutes later, still no menus so we got up and found a waitress.

She gave us some menus and disappeared. Another 10 minutes - still no order taken. We manage to flag down the original waiter after another 5 or so minutes (keep in mind - not that busy). He takes our orders and disappears. Another 20 minutes and we haven't even received our drinks.

So to re-cap - we'd been there just under and hour by this point. We then got up and found a waitress and asked where our food or, at the very least, drinks were. She disappeared. We looked at each other and made the executive decisions to leave versus waiting an hour, getting terrible service and paying the stupidly high price for food that, given past experiences, will be lack-luster at best.

On the way out the waitress came up to us and said "sorry, the guy didn't put your order in so it'll be a while longer". We laughed and told her not to bother. Thanks for re-affirming that the moon is the last place anyone should go for anything in Perth. Need food late at night? I hate to say it, but try Macdonalds or Hungry Jacks, because all you'll get at the moon is bad service, high prices and, from the time I actually managed to get food, food that tastes bad.

I used to love the moon and go there every Thursday night just to catch up with friends. What recently happened is my girlfriend ordered a steak that was seriously burnt (she did order it well done). But it was inedible. So we called the waiter to take it back only to find out that the cook said there was nothing wrong with it.

So we asked the waiter to have a taste and he agreed you could immediately tell it was burnt (the underside was charcoal). So the waiter took it back and we were told they wouldn't replace the steak but we could order something else, like a salad.

So even though the waiter agreed the steak was burnt, to the point it was inedible, they wouldn't replace the steak? Be careful with this place, doesn't have the customer service it once did, never before over three years has this happened.
The waiter was sympathetic and I did see him in discussion with the cook about this so at least there's some semblance of customer service.
