I was quite disappointed here. The venue was nicely appointed, and give the impression of a high class experience. Unfortunately, the (admittedly fresh) portions were tiny, and I found the service rather abrupt. $80 for a set menu that left me hungry, no thanks!

Avoid. You're paying for the show (teppanyaki chefs). I also didn't like the communal dining aspect of the place. The old guy next to me decided to butt into our conversation, and wouldn't take polite rebuttal for an answer. For $30 less you could get plenty of sushi and sashimi, and a much better evening.

Value for portion sizes is extremely poor. Food tastes great, settings well done and chefs are talented. Have been there many times when part of the Orchard Hotel and the food and value was great then. I rarely go there now due to over-pricing.

Food is delicious and exceptionally fresh. Service is prompt and friendly, but it is outrageously overpriced for the size of the servings

As soon as you get seated and they put the paper aprons on, you know you are in for fun. It is up to you if they toss the food or not. All I can say is that the food was so fresh, beautilfully cooked and just mesmerising to watch the skills of the Japanese chef.

Value - well, portions were small so I marked the value down 1 notch for that as the prices are not so cheap. However the whole package is a great experience. I have been back twice now and will again next time I'm in Perth.
