The tables were rather squished. The food was delicious, however, the waiting time for it to arrive was rather long. I recommend going in a large group so the social aspect of the dinner can help fill the time, and spread out the cost too.

We visited the Mahsuri Satay Restaurant on a Friday night. When we first arrived, the restaurant was fairly quiet but quickly started to get busy after about 7 pm. The waiting staff quickly seated us and had our drinks out to us fairly promptly. Their product knowledge was really good and knew exactly what my partner was trying order, even though she had problems pronouncing some menu items.

The kitchen staff were fairly slow at preparing our meals, and we constantly had alot of waiting time during courses. We started off with chicken satay sticks. Very nice but that was about the extent of their "satay" selection on the menu, very contradictory to what the name of the restaurant suggests.

Our main meal comprised of biryani rice, black peppercorn beef, green chicken curry and stir fried vegetables. The rice and vegetables were great, but that is where my positive feedback ceases. The chicken curry only contained brown meat, not one bit of white meat throughout the whole dish, and the peppercorn beef actually tasted off (we weren't sure whether it was just one weird marinade or the beef went past it's used by date a couple of days ago).

Very disappointing visit with a finishing bill being too excessive compared to the quantity/quality we received. Will not be returning here in a hurry.
