It was meant to be a posh Melb. Cup lunch, well you would think for $120 per head it would be....(inside with A/C they paid only $98). No drink on arrival, we booked over a month previous and were sat outside with the flies and heat. Only view was of the storage shed for the outdoor furniture. Missed the race as the tv was Inside and couldn't all get to see the tv. Missed the fashion parade as they blended with the wait staff and general public.

Food was very minimal and had to wait well over and hour between courses and then brought out the smallest amount of food on each plate. (4 gnocchis for a main course!). The umbrellas didn't cover the whole table so we all got burnt as the sun moved. Had to keep asking for water as we were burning up. Overall the worst experience and totally ripped off. Where would they have put us if it rained! Greedy and overbooked. Never go back ever!

Agree with Richardb. It was like they pulled people in off the street to work, no uniforms on some, bar overworked with only one person, had to wait for drinks forever (a cardinal sin in a restaurant), beer warm, nibbles were good, rest of the meal voted as mediocre by our group of six. Very noisy. Good ingredients, good concepts but totally missed the mark. Had international friends visiting, poor impression from a supposedly "landmark" restaurant.

We went to Fraser for lunch today. It's King Park so the view is perfect and the restaurant is well decorated and comfortable. We ordered a bottle of red and a white wines. I ordered a big piece of steak. It's good and the sauce is excellent. Also, I ordered Creme brulee with vanilla ice cream for dessert and it's good.
It's a bit expensive but I guess we are paying for the view plus good food.

We have just had a meal at Frasers. The service was absolutely disgusting!How could you bring international guests there! The staff were rude to the point of obnoxious. We were not even seated at our table (no table cloths just a scratched old table). No 'please may I' thank you madam etc. Just something you would expect from supposedly one of the top restaurants in Perth.

We had better service somewhere else in Adelaide (try it the food was better, the service infinitely better and the prices were better value!). To top the night off just young waiter had taken my jacket when we arrived and after paying the bill I sat there waiting and waiting and waiting, finally had to ask for it. Oh and another thing, they had the wine as a special at $68 per bottle but on the bill it was charged at $70!

I hosted a large group at the private dining room at Fraser's and was impressed with the service and the food.

The private dining room has a great view overlooking the water, and we were able to have pre-dinner drinks out in the terrace while waiting for everyone to arrive.

We were given two waitresses to serve us and they were friendly and efficient. Never an empty glass although I did feel the pace in between courses were a little slow.

The food was great, enjoyed it very much. A good place to impress clients!
