The Foo Win restaurant based in the same shopping area as the Southlands Shopping Centre has won a couple of awards and they are well deserved. The food is truly authentic asian cuisine and a significant step-up from the average 'fast food' type Asian/Chinese offered by many restaurants. The food is truly excellent restaurant standard, the service is friendly and efficient even when the restaurant is full which it often is.

The pricing is a little higher than most restaurants of it's type though generally only $2-3 per dish and the additional cost is well worth the culinary experience and friendly service. If you are a lover of Asian cuisine I highly recommend The Foo Win Chinese Restaurant. A friend once told me that a good indication of a top Asian restaurant was if it was frequented by Asian people, this one certainly is but whether the adage is true or not I can tell you to try this restaurant and promise you excellent food and a likelihood of your return.

If you prefer a sit down meal to takeaway I strongly recommend booking as far in advance as possible particularly for the popular Friday, Saturday, Sunday nights but even for other week nights (I'm fairly certain it is closed Mondays) as it is a very popular restaurant.
