We went for dinner and had a very disappointing meal. The shared entree was overpriced for what you get. The waygu beef was a let down and the prawns and lasagna pasta dish was barely warm and tasteless. The only good dishes were the sweets of crepe and tarte tatin. Overall, overpriced boring meals. We won't be back.

Disappointing. My partner and I went to Dux on a Tuesday night, expecting big things from previous reviews. Unfortunately, I came away disappointed. The good things: Fantastic atmosphere, quiet, fast service. The bread plate, generous and very tasty. Well priced wine list

The bad things: For the main pasta, I was very disappointed in the quality. The prawn and scallop linguine was delicious but quite uninspiring, especially as it came with only 3 small, overcooked scallops and 3 very small prawns. For $35 I expected more. Staff conversing at the bar in very loud voices about their weekends, I really didn’t need to hear about their drunken partying when I was trying to enjoy a meal with my partner.

I had won a competition for a $50 gift voucher, however, received 2 x $25 gift vouchers. Upon trying to redeem these I was told that I was only allowed to use one voucher at a time. Given that I was there was to redeem my prize, I found this to be extremely poor service. Especially when in order to use the $25 gift voucher I already had to spend $50! The voucher itself did not mention anything about only being able to use one voucher at a time.

Poor form Dux, unfortunately, I won’t be returning.
