A lovely location, reasonable food, service was almost non-existent, we could have been at someones home and simply walked out considering the amount of time we were left unattended.

Note: rabbit has a subtle flavour and cooking it with tomato totally kills the flavour. Suggest you find a better recipe and remove the bones!

A quintessential Swan Valley vineyard restaurant. I went there today for lunch with a close friend. This is not the first time that I have been here but on this occasion our food was fabulous. I had the duck spring rolls and my friend had the fish cakes. The duck was delicious. I followed with a very generous portion of lamb shanks. Very tasty but a very large portion. My friend had the seafood risotto. It looked very tasty.

We finished the afternoon with coffee and cake. Went for a walk afterwards amongst the vines and olive trees. Quite a magical way to spend an afternoon with friends! We are coming back tomorrow for the soft-shelled crabs! Great grounds and super ambience.

    4.3 Below Average

Recently visited this establishment with 3 food and wine loving friends. We all found the grounds to be a lovely sanctuary and the wines quite reasonable to. However the food? The food was utterly disgraceful! (following is the consensus from the four of us who ate that day). We all agreed there was absolutely no complexity or depth of flavour in any of the dishes we ordered and the presentation, well to be honest, most of it looked like a train wreck.

The mash potato that came with the reef and beef main was certainly not a garlic mash as advertised and had little or no seasoning rendering it a tasteless heap of flavourless potato. The prawns, along with the brocolini looked tired and past their use by date so to speak and the béarnaise sauce, well that was simply hollandaise, not a hint of tarragon in sight!

We were advised that the fish of the day was barramundi, however, you wouldn't have known this as the fish had been so dreadfully over cooked rendering it tasteless and falling apart (skin had been removed so there was no beautiful crisp skin). The accompanying papaya salad was an ill-conceived match of flavours (even for the over cooked fish), papaya, sundried tomato, fetta, spanish onion, cucumber and from memory tomato (really just a greek salad with Papaya thrown in, a well thought out salad, not!).

The fish was sauced with what was apparently a herb and caper sauce, which only added insult to injury to pair this with the already salty salad. The chicken breast was nice and moist, however, there was no browning of the flesh so we suspect it had been poached (not exactly what you expect when ordering a stuffed breast of chicken).

The filling of mozzarella, herbs and sundried tomato left a little to be desired regarding flavour. The accompanying risotto cake tasted starchy and once again, lacking in any depth of flavour. I could go on but I assume you have an idea of the quality of food that the diss-passionate kitchens staffs (if you could call them kitchen staffs!) of this establishment consider good enough for you to pay for.

I certainly could have done a better job of it myself at home! I wonder how far this well placed establishment could go if the owners got rid of the current kitchen staff and replaced them with some talented kitchen staffs who could execute and deliver some quality home styled/restaurant food! Until then, don't hold your breath.
