If you want to try something different, visit Karl for an entertaining evening. No menu, you eat what Karl and Len cook up for the night. Three courses of German cooking. You won't get bored, so much to look at on the walls and around the place. Karl is an entertaining lovely soul. We had a very tasty beef soup with fresh baked bread, still hot from the oven. Then a tender beef roast with German style potato salad and lettuce. Then to finish the beautiful night off we had freshly baked cheese cake, still warm. A must do.

Fantastic. Len and Karl are wonderful hosts. You feel like you are a part of a dinner party in someones home. It is a very unique experience and one that I truly recommend.

This restaurant is very special. Karl and Len show their own take on the world, through their art, their collection, and their hospitality and cooking. It's all very individual, and very good. Karl is a great host and raconteur. Also a good artist. Bring your own wine, and enjoy good German food, having a great night.

It has been 20 years since I visited Cafe Mueller, and I was not disappointed. Delicious set menu, fabulous crazy decor and friendly personal service from Karl. As mentioned before, not everyone's style, but if you after excellent homestyle dining and lots of quirky character, you can't go wrong. Cafe Mueller makes my usual Melbourne haunts look like they are trying too hard.

Cafe Mueller has become one of our favourite places for a cosy atmosphere and hearty dinner. The quality of the food is always excellent, and the fact that you don't have to decide from a detailed menu is a rather novel relief! Karl is warm and friendly, and exudes such a calm aura that it relaxes you just talking to him. We always take a couple of bottles of red and in the space between courses it's lovely to sit and indulge in the comforable atmosphere. I recommend it to anyone looking for a unique and unpretentious dining experience xxx

This is the best value for money we have ever experienced. A very unique dining experience and well worth the trip to Midland. Great atmosphere, excellent food, and very friendly service all constitutes a great night out. We look forward to returning soon to check out what's next on the menu.

Although the atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming the food was poor and vegetarian options almost non-exsistent. To get one meal out of six after everyone else had eaten was disappointing. I hope it was a bad night but we wouldn't bother again.

We have been to Cafe Mueller on 2 occasions and are spellbound by the place. Take plenty of drinks and keep them close at hand so if there is delays in service you can absorb the other worldiness of it all with a drink. The food is simple and good even the simple lettuce leaf in mystery dressing is lovely. There is no menu, but you get a soup (with caraway bread), and whatever is cooking for your mains.
The artwork and bric a brac will keep ya head turning all night and the music is good as well, the other night walked into the place with slim dusty playing and walked out to German Polka tunes.

This is by far, the most interesting restaurant in Perth. When everyone tired of the sleek modern, funky fitouts of cafes around town, you might want to try something completely different.
Karl offers simple German food freshly cooked each day. Choice of one soup and one main each day and two desserts. But boy can he cook the best baked cheesecakes around.

This is the most unique and unpretentious restaurant we have ever been to. They offer great food at the best prices in town. There is no menu. It is whatever Carl has cooked for the day. The restaurant is full of knick knacks and art work of all shapes and sizes. It will not be to everyones liking but it is a place we will happily return to again and again.
