I recently dined here with a client. We had been told that it was 'the' restaurant to visit whilst in Perth. There was 6 of us altogther and it was a Tuesday night so it wasn't what you would call busy.

We had to wait at least 10 minutes to view a menu and wine list. We finally ordered and I have the smoked rabbit and my client the goat. Nothing spectacular except the servings were spectacularly small for $22. Another colleague had a 'tasting plate' which the waitress managed to get wrong.

Then we ordered a few bottles of wine from the extensive wine list, which was to be the highlight. The main I had was a lamb rump, the taste of which was overwhelmed by the accompanying dressing. My client had the eye fillet which had a chorizo sauce which he asked the waiter not to include. He asked to have the fillet cooked rare; however it came out medium rare and with the chorizo.

Throughout the course of the meal not once did the staff offer to top up our wine. I think the staff must have been fairly inexperienced as this is a cardinal sin in my opinion. Also the lighting was very dim; so much so that a couple of my colleagues couldn't read the menu.

Overall it was a disappointing experience as it was built up to be one of the better restaurants in Perth. We ended up dining at an Asian Dumpling restaurant in Northcliffe the following evening and enjoyed a sensational meal at a third of the pricie and with far better service.

Could not cope with client demand. Waited 2 hr for mains and was told by staff that a large party demanded their attention and we had to wait! Poor attitude, poor service, cold mains and loud music made talking almost impossible. Bad business dinner restaurant.
