Always looking for 'the one' when it comes to indian food. As a british ex-pat, I have been spoiled back home. The biggest problem I have with aussie indian restaurants is their insistence on using thigh meat in their chicken curries.
My quest for the last 6 years has been to find breast-filled curries across this fine land of ours.
5 Rivers makes the grade! What a great choice, seems they have some lovely curries. I chose the chicken vindaloo, and it was magnificent, made my nose run and my lips were burning for at least 30 minutes afterwards, a good sign! You can always tell a good curry house by their naan breads, they are cooked in a traditional tandoor oven. They were not in the slightest bit stodgy.
The restaurant itself is pretty bland, and has the obligatory sitar music playing in the background. They do not have a liquor licence, so don't forget your bottles of Kingfisher. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Prices were a little steep in comparison to many other curry houses, but in my opinion worth every cent for the plump, tender chicken breast, mmm.

I went to this restaurant with a friend I had gristle on my chicken Bhoona and to top it off the juice served to me from the fridge was out of date by 6 months. Once I complained to the senior staff I was treated like a outcast no customer service no waiter coming to tend to our needs. This restaurant needs a masterclass in how to complete customer satisfaction and the curry I think is powdered and mixed with water. I would give this restaurant a body swerve.

Excellent food and value, one of the best we've yet tried, and coming from the UK it's been hard to find what we've been used to. Try the garlic nan!

Great place, great food. I love eating at this curry house. It reminds me of the quality we get in the UK. They use chicken breast and the curries taste as they use fresh ingredients. I was eating and was surprised to come across real cloves and fresh onions (not the tinned ones other restaurants use). I highly recommend the place.
This is a proper indian restaurant unlike the fakes that they do have in Perth such as red turban, princess of india, 2 fat indians etc, try this place.

We eat in this restaurant a lot and the quality and service is always consistent to keep us going back. The meat is excellent quality as are the prawns and they use fresh ingredients, just lately they have increased the amount of mint dip with the starters and it’s now ample. The staff are very friendly and will cater for your every taste. A serve of onion bhaji was $9.00, prawn dopiaz was $23.90, allo gobi $17.00, vegatable pillau rice $19.00 and $6.00 for garlic nan. I think the price is reasonable for the amount and quality of food they serve and I would definitely recommend you try this place.

I tried this and the food is of excellent quality. We had onion bhaji for starters and the mint chutney was ample. The prawns, chicken and lamb for mains were of excellent quality and cooked to perfection. I did not find it expensive and would happily pay for the wedge of lemon, as if it was needed, for food of this quality.

Don't know because it was a takeaway, it was mostly sauce, smallest sized containers and very expensive for the amount of food.
