We were in a party of three and all had meat dishes which were cooked very much to our liking. The night went rather well and the service was passable without being brilliant. The wine list was also passable with a fair selection of ports and muscats which we trialled thoroughly towards the end of the night so maybe that's why the night went so well. I was the sole partaker of dessert and had a mini individual stewed plum crumble topped with lashings of fresh cream which alone secured my future visit to this restaurant. It was scrumptious!

1st visit the service wasn't so great, we turned up and they couldn't find our booking. Then when they went to write in our booking they insisted on taking my phone number, even though we were already there! It didn't really improve much through the night. Second visit it was better organised, but rather unfriendly.

The food has been pretty good, I would have liked to give a higher mark, but there was one meal that I chose because it sounded different and was interested to see how they made a success of it and they didn't. In general I love the menu, it's interesting with a bit of something for everyone, just beware as some of their ideas may be beyond their ability.
