Overview
Zio Joe’s restaurant is all about great quality food. Our chef has over 20 years experience and is highly regarded in the industry. Patrons of Village Avenue Café, Doncaster would remember Joe our chef well, for his seafood creations and wonderful food. The restaurant seats about 60 people, it is modest, relaxed and cosy with candlelit tables of an evening which are well spaced for your comfort. Our aim is to offer you a memorable dining experience with friendly and helpful waiting staff and food that will tantalise your tastebuds. Come and try the food at Zio Joe’s and we know you will be back.
We also offer a function area that seats approx 24 people. Function menus can be organised to suit your budget. Special requests that are not on our standard menu include seafood platters, capretto, kangaroo, chicken livers and an array of other Mediterranean and modern Australian dishes that we have on our specials board. We are fully licensed and BYO. Catering also available.

Whilst the waitress was very friendly and helpful, the menu was very limited. The chef knows his seafood and it was excellent. However, other menu items weren't as good. The paper tablecloths do little for the ambience and the music was too loud and annoying, especially as the CD continued to skip. Overall a mediocre experience.

Having dined at hundreds of top rating restaurants all around the world, I have never gone back to a place over and over, as I do here! Great food, amazing taste, great specials, perfect veggies, clean eating options (gym instructor approved), big serve, CONSISTENT. Special requests welcomed and flexible menu. Have also had great functions there with every single guest wowing the food and in your own setting, perfect!
