I go back at least once a month, tried almost everything but my favourites are the prawns and chicken curry. Highly recommend the chill janga as an entree. Great place love the atmosphere and overall experience.

Try the goat curry. It was fantastic! Also agree that it was a little pricey and had to wait a long time for food. But the it was definitely worth the wait. Will go back again for sure.

I like the bohemian jamaican ambience of this place. Good friendly service. However, the wait for the food was almost an hour, which can kill someone's hunger. Decent value. The turtle in the fish tank was very amusing.

I went here in July 08 for my boyfriends birthday. Great atmosphere, I had the tamarind chicken which was rich and great, however, my partner went with a prawn dish which he said was very bland and lack lustre. The service was good but the coffee was terrible. Overall it was okay. I've heard others rave about it so maybe they were just having an off night. They also have a turtle there in a tank which I kinda feel sorry for! Maybe that didn't help my state of mind.

A great fun place to go. Excellent food, not as hot as I have had in New Orleans but maybe the Melbourne palate is less tolerant. Very friendly staff, small place so good table interaction and good waiter service. Dishes are a little pricey but a small place I guess they need to charge to be viable. Have been there several times, will go again. Recommended.

I went there in Sep 06 with wife. We were particularly interested in the Carribean cuisine on the menu. We found the food was quite good though less spicey than we would have liked, mostly to appeal to non-Caribbean tastebuds. The food had very nice presentation. Service was excellent and the waiters were very warm and friendly. A little pricey but still in similar range of other restaurants that close to Melbourne city center. Would recommend particularly if you have tried and enjoy Caribbean style cuisine.
