One word - dumplings. If I were to rate only the dumplings it would score close to a 10! Simply divine, juicy and very flavoursome. You get a reasonable amount for the price you pay so can't really complain. I have tried a few dishes on the menu and consider them fairly average, so stick with the dumplings!

Sounds like everyone else loved it. I thought it was pretty ordinary. Perhaps, I ordered the wrong dishes. Had chicken hor fun and won ton noodles.

I agree with rogue303 on the Eggplant, simply delicious. The pan fried dumplings were equally excellent. I will definitely be making my way back to Xiao Ting Box soon! Make sure you give their salt + pepper tofu a go too. I'm very keen to try their Red Bean Pancake too.

I am at this restaurant at least once a week (except for this week as apparently they aren't open on Monday anymore) and enjoy it every time. The "Fish Flavour Eggplant" cannot be missed!

The dumplings and shanghai noodle dishes/soups are excellent. Delicious salty and spicy squid or prawns. Great sizzling chilli prawns. Vegetarian available too. Friendly, speedy service. Relaxed atmosphere. BYO.

I visit this place regularly and I have not been disappointed yet. They do very good dumplings, either fried (like gyoza's) or steamed. Also, does a good chilli tofu and salt and pepper squid which I recommend. There are extra dishes which aren't on the menu which are posted on the walls that are worth a try, like the chilli crab. This is by far the best value for money Chinese restaurant in Melbourne and the quality of the food is very good. Great for a group of friends over a couple of bottles of wine.
