I thought it was just us but based on the reviews below, clearly our experience was not unique. When we arrived, the senior staff was rude basically held up a finger to keep us quiet while he was looking around at something as we started to ask about seating. Luckily a waitress took over.

We waited 15 minutes to have our orders taken. Then over 45 minutes for the food to arrive. When I complained, we were basically told that the waiter who took our order forgot to put the order in.

When the food came, the salmon steak for my pregnant wife was basically raw. Mind you, we had an active 2 yr old and was never offered a high chair or booster at all which I found quite shocking.

Costed us $90 for lunch for a 2 mains, 1 kids meal. Not cheap. My wife hated the food but I personally found it Ok. Nothing crash hot but for the price, you deserve so much more.

And only try if you don't mind long waits and no service.

Woolshed Pub is a fine dining restaurant with a bar area simply attached to the back. The large cavernous area at the back (hence the “shed”) is a nice area but pity there’s hardly anyone around to actually enjoy it.

Difficult to believe the two reviews below. My daughter and I recently had lunch at the Woolshed on a Spreets Deal. Although the restaurant was very busy, we were greeted warmly and served really promptly. Our bottle of wine arrived within two minutes and our order was taken. There was never an offer of chips, bread or salad mentioned in the Deal. However, we were happy to pay $7.50 and receive a huge bowl of chips to accompany our seafood platter.

The reviewer below must have an extraordinary appetite as we found the quantity of food more than adequate for two. The fish was all delightful and fresh. The service was friendly and terrific. We could not have been happier.

Went for dinner waited twenty minutes for the wine the food was cold bland and unsatisfying the couple next to us who had the same voucher told us we got salad chips and the platter with a bottle of wine as they did we got a platter no fish no chips no bread the couple on the other side of us also was given water to wash their hands, we got nothing.

The food would not feed two people, one person yes and you will still be hungry its not value for money its a rip off I will never waist my money there again we were all seated in a coupon area and different tables got treated better than others including food big disappointment don't go here as they don't care and totally ignore their customers we all paid the same we should all get the same.

We left hungry and went to have kebabs on our way home which filled the hunger problem we were given 2 moreton bay bugs 4 prawns 3 deep fried baby crabs 4 scallops 6 oysters and 4 strips of calamari how does this feed two we were starving there was more meat in the prawns than the moreton bay bugs the only warm piece of food was the calamari the prawns were chewy and stale they tasted very old, I couldn't drink the wine (carolina) due to the fact I would have been drunk and sick due to not much food to eat. The platter will not feed one person properly, will not ever return its a con for money, you would enjoy yourself more at a fish and chip store.

Took ages for someone to come and table serve us, even though the restaurant was half empty. It was a rainy night but they wanted to create some air movement so doors and windows were opened up and everyone was freezing from the cold draft. Been wanting to check this place out for a while as we live around the corner, not going to come back any time soon. Seems like a great venue if only it was managed properly!
