I cannot believe that I continue to give this bistro Chance after Chance to improve. It's not hard to improve when it is just so disappointing!

Service borderlines on acceptable. As far as quality of food and food preparation and care of presentation goes, I seriously struggle to rate them 1 out of 10. Every time I bring my family here for dinner I swear I will never do it again, but then give in again, Hoping that they have made some positive changes, after all it is my local pub, and I want to be proud of it and socialise with my friends here. Well Never! Ever Again after tonight!

Nasty, salty food, overcooked and a total lack of care/interest in providing a nice dining experience. I recommend that everybody should completely avoid this place until there are some serious changes made.

When I went here the food on a scale of 1 to 10 would rate: 5. When I went here the service on a scale of 1 to 10 would rate: 7.

The main problem I had was with the green residue around the top of our jug of Coke. This was washing detergent. The bar attendant thought otherwise, but it was definitely washing detergent, there is not much else that is served up in a restaurant that is green and sludgy.

For the rest of the evening, all my mother could taste was washing detergent. She could not identify what brand of washing detergent it was, but the taste was definitely not pleasant. It entirely eclipsed any sense of enjoyment she may have gained from consuming her meal.

My meal was something like rice with bits of tandoori chicken. I cannot remember it all that well because it was not the most enjoyable meal. The main problem I had is that the meal was served on a paper doily. These are dated and ugly and should not be seen in public spaces in the twenty first century.

My mother ate the roast vegetables with the roast of the day. She said the roast was quite pleasant. I can't quite remember what my father and sister ate but I do not believe that they felt any marked sense of disappointment when they ate their meals. We did not consume dessert, however, they looked quite tasty.

The dining experience would have been altogether much improved if the bar attendant man didn't try to convince me that there wasn't washing detergent in the jug when there clearly was. This was very disappointing and detracted from the whole evening. Nevertheless he did replace our jug of drink which was positive.

The views there are quite beautiful, though, and the seats and tables are very nice.
Overall verdict : 6/10

Have eaten at this pub numerous time over the years and lately have been disappointed. The venue itself is really nice and a good spot for a group meal, however, the food just seems to have gone downhill a little and the service is lacking at times. On a recent visit some meals were received really quickly and others at the table got theirs about 20 minutes later! The food also, has become unispired, even the traditional pub standards (and there aren't that many left on the menu) lack flavour.

I had a group booking of 47 and found the staff to be most helpful and efficient. The food was also of a good standard. A good evening was had by all.

I have been to the Wheelers Hill Hotel many times and have taken other people there also. The food is always good. The menu and prices are good. The services is prompt.
