Glorious night sipping wine on the decking with great friends, food & service. Great place to celebrate & the prices are good.

Only had coffee at this place so can't comment on the food. Had to wait forever to get seated even though heaps of free and clean tables. Was told off by not just the senior staff for being 'impatient', scolded like a child in full view of other patrons. Then told not to come back. Don't worry, I won't be!

I had my wedding here last month and have nothing but rave reviews about Waves. The staff were so helpful, special mention to Rachael who is the function co ordinator. She was amazing. She helped me to organise all the little things that I had forgotten. I chose the finger food menu and a drink package. The finger food was amazing. I had 7 different selections.
My favorite were the little boxes filled with fish and chips and the satay skewers. They gave us so much food. We had pre dinner cocktails on the balcony, the view is amazing. A fantastic day. Thank you to all the staff at Waves for making my day so special xxx

I went here with a friend and found that the food took a while to come out and it wasn't all that great. I had the fish of the day which I enjoyed, however, it was a little oily. I would still recommend the place.

Have been to Waves a few times and loved it, however this time it was not what it use to be, garlic bread was burnt and very crusty, had the fisherman's basket which was cold and disgusting. Very disappointing. Will not go back and as for value, very expensive for 4 prawns. Lucky if I had 2 calamari and scallops were disgusting. I paid $30 for chips as there was a plate full. The only good thing was the service received from the young waitress, the older lady was in fact quite rude. Do not recommend.

Food and service always consistently great. Best decor restaurant in Frankston with superb views and probably the busiest. Been a few times and couldn't get in so book.

Been to Waves a number of times, but won't be going again in the near future. Love the new decor but still very noisy, forget the quiet night for two. I had the stuff chicken with mustard gravy, tasty but chicken was dry and stringy and it came on a dirty plate. Partner had rib eye steak which was tender and perfectly cooked. My suggestion is go for the specials on the board.
PS: Bring back the sweet and sour chicken.

The only dish I could honestly recommend from there is the salt and pepper squid and any of the cakes. The chef's were (with few exceptions) unskilled with both european and asian dishes, they could either do one or the other. I once witnessed a chef put a steak in the microwave. The quality of the produce was also questionable for the prices that were charged. Anything that isn't deep fried is a gamble.
The wine list was extensive and in no way lacking. The service was fast and professional. The view is fantastic especially from the balcony, the decor is new and clean.

It was the first time we went to the restaurant. We chose the restaurant due to the review. When we walked into the restaurant it felt as if we were walking into a takeaway. We were sat in the balcony. Our entrees came out which
were antipasto plate and oysters kilpatrick. No problems with them. Mains comprised of a wok-tossed prawns with asian veges and a fishermans catch.
The wok tossed prawns were fine, but the fishermans catch, the scallops, miniature prawns, and salt and pepper calamari were overcooked to the point of crispy. After advising the waiter, he insisted on bringing a new plate. When he brought out the new plate, the contents were saturated with black oil from the griller minus the chips. The question I would have is how can a reputable kitchen staff allow such food to be served and why the waiter proceeded to serve it.
