Very disappointing service, every beer was flat by the time it reached the table. Understaffed and overpriced for what we got. Staff were very apologetic however which helps.
The service was appalling. The waiter would only allow some people at our table to order entrees which meant those that didn't were left hungry as the main meals were not large. The waiter served incorrect drinks on numerous occasions and kept touching us or tapping us to get our attention. The views are lovely and the decor delightful but is not worth the awful service. The meals were nothing special.
After reading reviews from 06, it seems that management has not taken any of these reviews seriously. A group of 16 of us had dinner there on Friday night and most of the group agreed that the service was hopeless. Whilst our waiter was friendly, drink orders were slow and a non-drinker was completely neglected for over an hour, coffees were forgotten.
Food whilst being well presented, was small in portion and not value for money. Seated on the land side of the restaurant, with no airconditioning in this section, it was rather hot and unpleasant especially when many boats tied up to the wharf - the fumes from the boats also contributed to the heat and smells. Certainly not keen to return to this venue considering that our bill was in excess of $1,000.
We sat downstairs which had very nice views of the bay, food was fantastic, well priced, service was also exceptional although it was not that busy when I was there. Would certainly go back again.
Really good food, service was very disappointing. Staff really didn't care. It was a cool night and the zips on the plastic covers didn't work so the wind blew through. The smell of smokers in the smoking area was very off putting. I thought there was a no smoking rule in all restaurants now. We took overseas visitors and although we had a good night, these things did spoil the evening.
Fantastic view, taste beyong my imagination, service very good, staff very friendly and attentive. To have beautiful view and good lunch just Waterfront.
We went for dinner in the upstairs dining room on saturday. Food was good, better then downstairs, there is a waiter there who had served us downstairs before, he looked after us very well and was busy but he kept well the pressure but overall was a really good experience.
Great quality food! Beautifully presented. Calamari strips and Drunken Chocolate dessert - a must! Ambience was fantastic, the place is stunning... Service was a disappointment. Although a lot of suits (managers I assume) and wait staff hovering everywhere, it seemed very disorganized. Got 5 different people serving us and the guy who took our order didn't even know what the specials were.
Had booked weeks ahead and had requested a window seat, which we did not get. Great decor but very noisy. Asked to have an entree as a main, waiter said that sizes were standard and could not be changed. Waiter also said that there could be no changes to the menu! Too bad if you had any allergies! We were given a wine list but the waiter did not come back to take our order. Overall, a restaurant that is too busy to give good service. Don't bother going.
I loved the location and the food was faultless. However, for that kind of money, I expect attentive and excellent service which was distinctly lacking. For those prices, I do not expect to feel like I am in a factory - the waiter who served us didn't even notice us leaving. Took forever to receive our main dishes as well as to pay!
