Very disappointed as this place used to be one of my favourite japanase spots, I have been there so many times, with my partner. However, this was the first time I have ate after sometime, and there was s significant change in the menu and probably chef was not the same. Unfortunately, all the lovely dishes like broadbill tuna etc were gone and their replacements were a bit like chinese and not good. I am sad that we lost this place. Definitely, not going again.

Lastly, I ordered the Wagyu Beef Meatball Donburi. My rice is topped with broccoli, meatballs, seaweed and shredded onion. The meatballs were, again, melt-in-your-mouth soft, literally falling apart and almost impossible to hold onto with my chopsticks (made even harder by the fact that I'm completely incompetent with chopsticks anyway), and the miso glaze covered in sesame seeds is really different than anything I've tried.

Great little local place run by a japanese chef and his partner. Good quality ingredients and friendly.

Some great antique mingei (folk art) added to warm homey atmosphere. Service reasonable, food good if not looking for kaiseki standard. The lunchtime bento boxes excellent value. Some communal tables. Can recommend shochu served hot with salted pickled plum as a winter warmer.

Beautiful little place, really interesting range of dishes, not just the usual stuff.

Great atmosphere, small and larger tables, great little mezzanine level for romantic couples.
