Vivace is located at Brighton a beachside suburb of Melbourne, and is a pleasant 10-15 minutes drive from the CBD. The setting in the middle of Bay St is accessible to local shops, the Palace movie theatre and North Brighton Train station. It is open for lunch Monday - Friday and dinner from 5.30pm Monday – Saturday.

With dark timber floors Vivace offers warmth and hospitality the minute you enter from the street.
A quite couch area at the front windows offers a spot for a quick coffee or glass of something from the wine list. Parking is available in the surrounding streets – ask when you book for the best spots if you’re not a local – esp. on weekend nights when it can be a bit busier. The restaurant offers the warmth and comfort of a local place and yet still has enough pizzazz to make it a worthwhile special occasion out. It perfect for a quick business lunch or a lingering dinner, the bar area is ideal for after work drinks or pre / post cinema.

The menu is largely Italian and changes seasonally with daily specials. Entrees such as zucchini flowers filled with goat’s cheese, orecchiette pasta with broccolini, almonds and chilli and mains such a char grilled eye fillet or fillet of lamb with roasted capsicum and goats curd are served in generous portions. A great beer and cocktail list compliments the wine list that includes a selection of wines by the glass and an Italian section. Lunch specials ($20 for one course or $30 for 2 courses is great value) Extra’s include – open early for dinner, very handy for Palace cinema or train to sporting events or theatre (50mtrs) and 3 private function spaces.

The private dining rooms upstairs cater for groups of 8 – 40 in fully carpeted rooms, offering space for corporate groups, small private parties and presentations or meetings. The restaurant can be booked for larger private groups, offering a contemporary feel for intimate weddings and larger corporate functions.
