As a local I have enjoyed several meals at this restaurant in the past therefore it seemed the ideal venue to host a special birthday celebration there recently.

It was a fantastic evening, 14 of us enjoyed a gorgeous dinner in a private room upstairs. The food was enjoyed by all with no-one disappointed at their choice (no food envy). The ambience of the room was superb it felt like hosting a dinner party without any of the hassle. The staff were attentive but not intrusive and gave helpful input to the wine choices.

Thank you for helping to make this a really memorable celebration.

I am not an expert critique but my experience at Vivace was seriously the best I have experienced at any restaurant I have been to. I took my family on a Saturday night (my kids are 6 and 8) and my wife and we all thought the food was amazing. The restaurant has a very relaxed ambience to it even though it was quite busy and the service was impeccable. The waiter knew his stuff and recommended a great bottle of wine to compliment our meals and the kids absolutely loved their meals.

My wife and I have been to who knows how many restaurants in our 20 years together but in all seriousness we thought Vivace was definitely in our top selection and we will make Vivace a regular visiting place. Thanks to Chris who was a great host on the night and took time to have a chat with us which was much appreciated from a customer point of view because lets face it, we all feel a little special when the owner takes the time to have a chat with us.

A real special place but also importantly with food to match. Cannot wait to taste some of the other great dishes on the menu in our future visits there. Highly recommend anyone thinking of a great night out with good food and good wine in mind, whether it be a romantic dinner or an outing with the family. Thanks Vivace!

We really enjoyed this restaurant. The Bayside area seriously lacks restaurants in the top echelon and this is one of the few that can stand with the best restaurants in Melbourne. I had been to Maze just 3 nights before here and I think the food here was every bit as good.

We had the soft shell crab and beef capaccio for entrees followed by the lamb 5 ways and rabbit. All the dishes were exceptional, the lamb was a standout, one of the best plates of food I have had this year. Unlike many places doing this quality food, the servings are quite large.

Service was efficient and friendly, wine list is very extensive with a good representation of European wines although to me the Australian wine selection was a bit unbalanced but you will have no trouble finding what you want. This place gets really busy at least on Saturday nights and tables are quite close so expect a bit of noise and hustle.

For me, probably the best restaurant at the moment in Bayside. Well worth trying.

This was the first time we went to this restaurant, the service was great, the staff were happy and the atmosphere was good. The food was perfectly cooked with excellent presentation. All in all it was a very enjoyable experience. Definitely recommend this place.

A girlfriend and I hosted a birthday lunch here for 18 women. We could not fault the ambience, food, service and value. Everything was just fabulous. Would highly recommend.

This restaurant is for people who like to enjoy themselves when they dine out. Great food, friendly service and premium wines all reasonablly priced. Must have the tasting plate to start with and the tasting plate for dessert to finish with and everything in between is great to.
