Not a glamorous restaurant, but does the classic pho and other noodle dishes well. Can pull out the stops for special occasions, and the service under Yan is both friendly and observant.

This is a great place to go for a cheap, quick and tasty meal. Just no-frills, great value food. The atmosphere is always bustling and is about as unconceited as you can get.

Exceptional value for delicious food, how can you go wrong! This restaurant is perfect for dropping into when you're hungry, quick service, casual atmosphere and great food. My only concern is that their cutlery does not always appear to be immaculately clean.

We often stop here on the way home for dinner. Vinh Ky is open late and very handy when you finish work at 9 pm. The spring rolls rock, as does the sugar cane prawn. The food is always smoking hot and fresh.

We are regulars. The steamed chicken with rock salt and the prawn dumpling soup cannot be beaten anywhere. The service is friendly. The prices are very reasonable. Wonderful!

This is a fantastic little restaurant, serving wonderfully authentic Cantonese/Vietnamese food at bargain prices. I don't usually go for hybrid restaurants, always worried that maybe they're spreading their expertise a little thinly but this place is certainly an exception.

Delicious, fresh food served without fuss or pretention. Wonderful soups (the prawn dumpling soup is incredible value, bursting with juicy prawn flesh in a light and well-flavoured chicken stock) and the pi-pa beancurd is a treat. Highly recommended for quality food, service and incredible value.

One of Victoria street's true gems. This place consistently turns out tasty and well prepared noodle and soup dishes as well as an array of other options. A highlight for me is the extremely generous dumping soup ($8) which includes 6 dumplings stuffed with prawn in a light chicken broth with egg noodles and greens.

This is a well conceived and executed dish and at this price must be one of Melbourne's great bargains. Do yourself a favour and head here next time you want value and quality Chinese and Vietnamese food.

We have been eating here at least monthly for more than 10 years. The quality and service are great. Occasionally we will try another Vietnamese restaurant but none match Vinh Ky
