Lovely setting and really excellent food. The best restaurant we have found on the Peninsula so far. Actually didn't try the wine just went with a nice cab Sav from Barossa which was fine as you have to drive to get anywhere from Merricks anyway.

My husband and I have dined at several of the winery restaurants on the Peninsula and Veraison is definitely up there with some of the best. The charcuterie plate was excellent with more than enough for two which we took our time over, we didn't feel rushed and had plenty of time to relax before the mains came out. Fillet steak with the peppercorn sauce was cooked perfectly,(rare) and the vegies that accompanied it were fresh and crisp.

There was a large group in on the day and the manager came over to see if we were happy to relax before our mains came out as we had almost finished the charcuterie plate and the large table had just ordered mains, as we were in no hurry that was fine with us. It was nice to know that there would be a slightly longer break between entree and main.

Bluestone Shiraz went well with the steak and was well priced at $40. Will definitely be returning in the future.

Four of us had lunch at Veraison. This is one of the few winery restaurants on the Peninsula that offer small and large plates, so you can have a light or full lunch as you choose. We shared four plates and a salad, all of excellent quality.

The Bluestone wines are good and well-priced, we had a tasting before lunch to select our wines. The service was excellent and the outlook over the vineyard is attractive and relaxing.

We've eaten at most of the wineries on the Mornington Peninsula and recommend Veraison, especially if (like us) you don't want a roast or a big steak for lunch! Value for money, it's hard to beat.
