First time in st kilda and very impressed with the local restaurants, especially Veludo. They also have happy hour till 8pm which is great! Loved the food and the waitresses were very lovely.

I had 21st birthday function in the Candy room here. The staff were amazing in helping me organise my function, and were happy to cater to many of our requests. The staff that were waiting on the party were fabulous as well.
Value for money was fantastic as I looked at a lot of places and Veludo certainly seemed the most reasonable.

I love the vibe of this place. Friends and I enjoy heading there for dinner and sometimes on the weekend for a lazy breakfast. Recently I had their eggs benedict, which were perfectly cooked and the hollandaise was to die for. I definitely recommend it.

This place is great and they sell an awesome steak. Have a great open fire for late at night. When we went the girl who was serving us was fantastic and knew her wine well. We have been there twice and will go again. Not the cheapest but far from the most expensive. It is where we go when we want 'good' food.

Came from Sydney for the weekend with friends and ended up here for breakfast on our last day. What a disapointment. The lady who got our table ready was rude and abruptly told me to wait outside (it wouldn't have been so bad if she was pleasant and had some customer service skills).

The waitress who took our order kept repeating our order for coffee and kept getting it wrong (I noticed it on other tables too). Then the meal came. What a sad excuse for breakfast. I admit I only ordered eggs and toast as I wasn't that hungry, but I only got one piece of toast that was burnt. My order wasn't the only one that looked woeful. All of the toast was burnt and the waitress even got one of the orders wrong. She didn't say sorry when we pointed this out, only advising us that in fact, we had ordered it. Sorry love, but there was seven other people that heard that order.

We ordered more coffee, but it took so long we cancelled the order and left. Not worth the wait for breakfast when other cafes in the area offer great service with great food. I almost felt uncomfortable being there.

Don't go here for breakfast. The place is well decorated and enticing but the delivery is poor. We went here last weekend with a group of friends and the service was disappointing. The waitress must have been deaf and got our orders wrong. The other waiter was indifferent and couldn't even smile. Coffee took forever that we had to cancel our 2nd order since it was taking too long.

The food was average in flavour and poor in presentation. Only received 1 small piece of toast for my 2 eggs And it was burnt! Sigh, there are other great cafe's in St Kilda. Don't bother with this one.

Great restaurant with impressive wine bottle deco on the wall. The service was okay, but the overall value of $25 for a 2 course meal is fantastic. Have been back there couple of times and would def make the visit again.

I went to Veludos twice recently once for dinner and once for cocktails. The dinner was absolutely awesome, I had chicken with a polenta base and beans. It was a simple mix of flavours very well done. Everyone else was impressed at the table too with their orders and the proportion of serve.

I was feeling adventurous afterwards and had the turkish delight ice-cream, which was a revelation. Truly the best ice-cream I've had in a very long time. Lovely subtle flavours chopped through with bits of dark chocolate. Yum! I went back again for cocktails only. They were good but I found them a bit pricey given that they were all pretty much the same price regardless of whether you had a martini glass or a hurricane glass.

And the service was a bit funny for a place that prides itself on an extensive cocktail menu. We had to spell out Capirinha to the waiter because he'd never heard of it before. Stick to the food, it's a great night out and you can't go wrong.

This has to be one of my favourite restaurants. The food is absolutly fantastic, large proportions of perfectly combined flavours that leave you extremely satisfied.
Their waygu meat is tender and perfectly cooked. The specials are always something to look forward to and the service is what you'd expect in StK- fun and foreign. I loved it, relatively cheap too.. huge mains between 22-28. I'm getting hungry just remembering the experience.
