After going to this restaurant it is the first time I have wanted to write a review. Serving sizes are ridiculous. $9.50 for entrees that are literally one chicken thigh fillet spilt in half with nothing else and tasted ordinary. Mains tasted ok but for the butter chicken being the signature dish it was something we could have easily made better at home. I will not be going here again and wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

We were staying at the Hilton and ordered deliver to room, fast service was great but that was all. We order garlic naan, butter chicken and chilli fish. The chilli fish was bland and butter chicken was only slightly better. I don't know how they won awards as the food has gone down hill. I cld cook better myself and I am not Indian.

In August I went to this restaurant to meet up with an old friend. As the name sounds, the restaurant does offer largeness – in food, ambience, and experience. Located at East Melbourne, it's not a hard to go to place. An Indian way to divert from local scenes. While writing this I had to look up back at http://ordering.twofatindians.net.au/ as my friend told me they had food deliver service that can be accessed online so I looked it up to reminisce.

I remembered we had that Tandoori platter full of chicken and kebab good enough for two and maybe 3 for light eaters. We paired it with Jeera rice. It was a sinful delicious treat. I was thinking of going diet after. We thought we'd never finish it but we had chatted so much that we didn't notice we're done. We even had their Mango Kulfi to end our palate.

Would I come back? In a blink of an eye I'd say yes. I actually have planned a visit next week with friends and looking at their site made me felt like sharing it to the world in writing.

Prawns Pepper Fry. Chicken Mushroom Pasanda. I really have a thing for everything salty, spicy and full of flavour dishes. No wonder I fell in love with the Two Fat Indians. You can find them just around East Melbourne and even with just a click away at http://ordering.twofatindians.net.au.

The restaurant is very uplifting as I remember it. The people are so nice they guide you where to sit and you can feel a sense of privacy. The food is just fantastic. As I’ve said, I like very tasteful dishes and theirs is just beyond my expectations. And when you’re just full enough to end the day, it doesn’t end yet without trying out one of their homemade ice cream selectio, may it be that you crave for mango Kulfi or feels nutty to have Pistacchio Kulfi.

And don’t be guilty for not bringing your siblings around, there’s some banquet as take away food to take home and share the experience. You can never go wrong with any of them. They’ll love you for it.

Went here recently whilst staying at the Hilton. Food was top quality. Entree's were very good. I had the soup and found it to be one of the best I have head. Perfectly seasoned with just the right amount of chilli. Lamb curry in spinach puree also great and finally a place that cooks naans like they are supposed to be, nice and soft and fluffy. Price was reasonable and they had a nice short winelist with a couple of bargains in there. Service was friendly and unobtrusive, the place has a nice feel.

Simply put, great indian food, that I keep coming back for. The last time I ordered home delivery and it couldn't have been better. They had kept my address on file from the previous order and while they gave themselves a 45 minutes window for delivery (standard for most rest's these days I find) they said it would probably be sooner. Go to Two Fat Indians, it's a great little restaurant and really reasonable prices.

Quite frankly the worst Indian I have had in Melbourne! The modern 'flashy' interior is a lovely mask for overpriced, flavourless Indian cuisine and to top it off rude abrupt staff. I would recommend my husband's Indian over this place anytime! Certainly would not recommend this place and certainly will not be going back there anytime soon.

As this place is opposite the MCG on Wellington Pde, we tried this place before a footy game. Big mistake. From the sour faced waitress (gee would not melt in her mouth) to the sloppy, salty bland over-priced curries, the rip-off markup on the wines, the plush "staff-only" tables at the rear (with plasma TV), this place should be given a wide berth. Loved the LED blue lights in the bar though.
