Location location location… Transport Hotel at Fed Square benefits greatly from its location and draws everyone and anyone. It’s a wide diverse crowd but everyone has something in common… drink up and enjoy the night.

A truly disappointing experience... We decided to venture into Fed Square for lunch and having seen positive reviews for Transport (mainly about their beer selection) and figured their meals may be up to an equal standard.

We ordered satay chicken skewers, a beef burger and the cheese and bacon wedges (to address our need for stodge). Seemed that the only thing fresh would have been the bacon and that everything else would have been frozen or from a jar. Burger bun was stale and falling apart and you could get a better version from the footy.

Prices average $15 so after spending $37 on the meal, we left most of our meals and left to have coffee and cake elsewhere. Could not complain about the service (not much of it), those working at the bar were polite and friendly.

Living in North Melbourne we are spoilt for choice when it comes to pub food (and a huge variety of other cuisines). This meal I would compare to airline food so the name Transport is quite fitting.

Transport is a great meeting point in the city. It's a spacious, light filled pub with live music espeically during the summer - when it's mobbed! Has a huge selection of beers on offer. A really good pub to go to with friends or just for a quiet Saturday arvo drink. You've gotta go!

We were the first customers of Oktoberfest. We went down there on a sunny afternoon. We had a great time. The staff were very attentive and friendly. We ordered a hotdog and nachos - typical pub food/quality. The drinks were nice.

I have such fond memories of the Transport Bar while visiting Melbourne recently. I had just come from the tennis and it was 38 degrees and I was exhausted from the heat and needed to have a beer. On arrival the lovely lady at the bar quickly got me a glass of ice cold water then served me. I was so impressed with her hospitality. I enjoyed a beer inside but the outside area looked really relaxed. It was a little expensive but that is to be expected in the heart of the city. I didn't eat but it looked good and lots of people were eating so that's a good sign. Great place to go, I really enjoyed it.
