Great pub grub, a cracking little hidden gem on the backstreets of Fitzroy. Loved the vibe, great place for some pre-gig grub and the service was pretty good too, enjoy inside or out.

Mine, however, was perfectly cooked; just white on the inside, still nice and tender. Could have cooked a little longer, if for no other reason than to get the crispy breadcrumbs, but other than that, I genuinely can't find any faults; the taste was astonishingly good. The chips are important to me - I'm a big potato fan, and a good chip really enhances a good parma. They were magnificent - crispy on the outside, soft and fluffy on the inside, with the most incredible chicken salt.

Warning! The service here is rubbish! I am writing this review whilst waiting for my food. So far 1 hr and a half. Do I really need to say more! As a chef I am well aware of the pressures in the kitchen but even I can get fine dining for out in 30 minutes so what makes pub food take this long? Staff are lovely but the kitchen needs a review. Eat at own risk.

We ate here a month or so ago for lunch, starting with some yummy curry puffs and a trio of In spite of the variety of the limited menu, we both had burgers, me chicken and he had the beef burger. I loved mine and he was not unhappy with his but not excited. Given its good pub grub we were both happy. Standard pub wine list, quick service and relaxing surrounds. Could see how the locals love this place during summer with its great beer garden.
